DE SOTD, Wednesday, August 7th 2024

Razor : Yaqi "SLOPE" 316 SS Torsional slant with a Yaqi brass nickel coated handle. Mfg 2022>, mild to tame range. Excellent machining and design. Very easy razor to get a decent shave with and will even allow some buffing if wanted with no irritation.
Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gillette Polsilver SI(3) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Razorock XXX, nice scented clean cologne fragrance with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Sagrada Familia" 22mm G4 synthetic. Excellent lather generator, cloud like soft tips, nice firm splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. Bought this on defect handle sale, color pour not perfect but the knot performs well IMO. Frugal soap hog brush + but performance great!
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock XXX splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi SLOPE slant with a Polsilver SI blade.

Blade: Treet Dura Sharp (Carbon) Yellow/Red pack. (D2)
Razor: Baili BD177 Rose Gold TTO.

Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, /Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.5 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./La Toja ASL. / Cien Men Sensitive ASB.

Early morning shave,

Everything in my shave set up this morning paired together wonderfully. The non-tallow La Toja stick has a good slickness & post shave I really like the fragrance of this shave stick, it's fresh clean scent reminds me of dove bar soap with a masculine edge to it.

A comfortable 2 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Cien Men Sensitive ASB.

My face is feeling cool smooth & smelling divine.

Here my Wednesday Shave (07.08.2024)


Razor: Aylsworth Drakkant + // Blade: Gillette yellow // Soap: Tim´s Soap Columbia River // Brush: PAV Brushworks // Aftershave: Alum - Acqua di Selva

Columbia River, a woodsy and „mysterious“ scent whipped up by a PAV Brushworks. The knot is a 24mm „Virginia Sheng“ Silvertip. Gel-like tips. Lathered up absolutely wonderful in my Fine Accoutrements Lather Bowl. Fur was decimated with the Aylsworth Drakkant + in two joyful passes. Smooth and gentle as it can be using the yellow Gillette.

The Aftershave was a great match to the soap. The Alum had almost no feedback, as well as the Aftershave (which is the EdC) but i use it as an Aftershave.

A 10 out of 10
