    My ivory one and a couple of my colored ones are labeled synthetic badger while the remainder of the colored ones are labeled synthetic bristle. Other than the labeling there is no difference between the brushes. Currently Simpson synthetic brushes are sold in two different fiber types at different price points.

    Different products, about the same result. Technique DOES Trump Tools. Cuts(albeit small)at each side of the North-South Porcupine border. Tomorrow I'm going to go North-South at ALL areas of N. Porcupine, not just the middle. Thankfully, this happened only during the first pass. The Stoylin Glacial soap helped calm things down. Elsewhere, clean and clear. Good second pass. The cool Mennen Skin-Bracer A.S. also helped. No cologne today. Pretty Outsnading.

    Wonderful shave, a Fougere Friday shave. I did three passes with the DRew Dick straight. I managed a close error free shave. That being said, I may take the razor to the 12K stone or lapping paper to improve the edge. It felt like I had to work a little harder to get the results I wanted.
