August 9 I plan to shave with my 1921 Gillette Tuckaway tomorrow for the first time. I loaded it with a brand spankin' new Voskhod blade to celebrate the occasion. JR #451 has quickly become one of my favorite brushes, so I'll use it too. I am making headway with the my Stirling 3017, but I have a way to go. I hope you all are well and having a great week. (Can someone quietly take @Primotenore aside and tell him he needs to shave?)

August 9, 2024 Hone 15S Feather Semogue Galahad C3 WSP Neroli Shave Soap & Aftershave Happy Friday Everyone. I am still using different soaps trying to decide on my next 3017 target. I went with the WSP Neroli this morning. The scent of this soap is fantastic and I really enjoy using WSP soaps. The small containers are not a problem and are even a positive when using the soap occasionally. If I pick a WSP as a 3017 target it will be transferred to a larger container. Take care and have a great day.

August 10, 2024 Hone 15S Feather Paladin MdC Original Agua Lavana Puig After Shave Caron Men Pour Un Homme EdT Happy Saturday Everyone. I've been a busy guy this morning. Fired up the Big Green Egg and have ribs smoking. I bought a controller for the BGE called a SMOBOT and I am giving it a try today. So far so good. I have had this brain bowl of MdC sealed in a plastic bag for almost 6 months. I decided I want the bowl the my MdC Vetyver and Argumes when I 3017 those. This will be my second 3017 of the MdC Original. The brain bowl was a bit tricky to get the brush loaded. I think this will get better when the top is smoothed down. As expected the shave was fantastic. Take care and have a great day.
I've shaved with the Tuckaway twice so far. It delivers a great shave, as expected. It's a bit head-heavy, and the handle can be slick when wet...but no problem once you get used to it. I wondered why I always wanted one and why it turned out to be perfect for me. Once I saw the Gillette ad, it all made sense. These razors were made for powerful men (@Keithmax and @BaylorGator probably have a dozen each) and were thankfully not lost on opera singers and such. Since this one was made in England, I figure it came from a Windsor Castle yard sale. And, yes, it pairs nicely with Executive Man soap. In keeping with executive protocol, I put on a clean tee shirt this morning. I am one smooth hillbilly...er...executive. Well, I better go do some movin' and shakin'. Have a great weekend, guys.
The brain bowl and the Paladin brush are just plain cool, Clint. Sounds like a fun day at your house. A high-tech BGE should cook some delicious ribs. Enjoy!
If I recall correctly, several years back you made a very big dent, , in a brain bowl in only 30 days or so.
True dat. Then I piffed the rest of it to @SRNewb ---a really nice fellow. Hope he's ok. Chime in here, Mike.
Saturday, August 10 AoS Peppermint~~Semogue TSN Final Edition~~Cobra Classic~~Thor's Hammer Bay Rum w/Lime When Primo commits to a 3017---he's all in. I would like to 3017 this AS. It's got a great scent---for about 20 minutes. Then...
@Primotenore keeps sandpaper in various grits on hand in order to maintain the brain bowl's satiny finish.
