Last night's shave was just simply easy. Great razor that performs above its weight & price class plus the software was just exceptional in providing comfort and protection during the shave. Post was phenomenal. Great shaves to all....

A quickie but a very goodie - this Valobra stick has been sitting here in the house for umpteen years so I decided to go with it this morning and I’m happy that I did. It has a nice clean soapy scent, it gives great lather, and it’s really good in the skincare department. The Proraso Blue balm and the Bleu de Chanel aftershave were a perfect finishing combination. Two passes were enough to get me thoroughly BBS - a great shave all in all!

DE SOTD, Tuesday, August 20th

Razor : Yaqi Sentinel 316 SSP, 1.5 mm with a Yaqi Tear-drop 316SSP handle. Mfg 2022, mild range. Excellent machining and finish QC with a unique blade loading system alignment. Similar to the Personna BB1, LAS BBS & Wolfman W2 designs.
You can recieve some very nice shaves with this razor with no irritation or weepers. I like to use a shallow angle(riding the cap) seems to work excellent for some nice shaving. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gillette Perm-sharp (1). Sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity. Top tier in my Den.
Soap : Razorock XXX Fresco, nice unique clean scented with some menthonol + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Aqua" 24mm 3band, high mountain badger. Excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. Interesting badger brush, I believe this is a different species of badger hair, over all great brush for my needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock XXX Fresco with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Sentinel razor with a Pema-sharp blade.
