The Morning Shave.
The Gillette Minora blade was in my 1961 Gillette Adjustable FatBoy today.

This is #7 on this blade, full head & face shaves. Still very comfortable shave.
I don’t have a full repertoire of shaving paraphernalia, so changing the background image to make my SOTD photos look a little different.

Can anyone identify the watch?

The Arko Stick Soap lathered well with the Oscar11 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Brass TAR Razor by Tom and the Gillette Nacet Stainless Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

SE SOTD, Friday August 23rd 2024

Razor : Yaqi Romulus SE 316 SSP with a Yaqi Chippendale 316 SSP handle. Mfg 2023>, mild to tame mid range depending what AC type or variant of 4 different blades edges used or shim. Excellent machining and finish + nimble small head parts. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Kai Captain Titian mild (4) sharp and smooth with excellent longevity. Nice SE AC type of blade.
Soap : Ogallala Bayrum with Sandalwood. Nice scented bayrum soap with great lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Robin" 24mm boar bristle. Excellent lather generator, soft split end bristle hair tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Ogallala bayrum & Sandalwood splash + a dollop of Geo F Trumpers Sandalwood skin food.
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi SE Romulus razor with a Captain mild blade.

Gold Bond Moisturizer
Noble Otter Northern Elixir AS Splash

Even though I’m not that big a fan of glycerine soaps there are exceptions and these Bundubeards are among them. This Kameelperd’s Kick has such a lovely coffee/peppermint scent, its lather is such a pleasure to whip up, it’s freezing cold to the point where it matches the Stirling Glacials, and it’s so skin friendly. The Gold Bond moisturizer works wonders for sensitive skin, and the Northern Elixir aftershave has a nice eucalyptus/peppermint scent, and it’s as cold as ice. Three passes gave me a dynamite BBS shave that I really enjoyed a lot despite the Astra Green blade being ready for its retirement!
