Boy did I have a major find in my den this morning-I found the other Stoylin Glacial soap I had stashed in the back. Almost full. I did need another one very soon otherwise. It's the Lemon Chill. Awwwright .
Saturday morning’s Grand Freeze: Quick shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Canadian Tech/Wilkinson Sword day 10 Stirling Glacial Iceberg Island SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Stirling Glacial Iceberg Island AS Splash Of all the newer Glacial soaps and aftershaves I think that the Iceberg Island is my favourite scent - wow, is it beautiful. It’s a carbon copy of the Creed Virgin Island Water and Island Man from Stirling except that this stuff is chock full of frigid menthol. I had so much fun working up a great lather with my awesome Yaqi synthetic brush, my face was frozen almost instantly - damn, is this stuff ever COLD, and the skincare is typically Stirling perfection. The Gold Bond moisturizer felt so nice as well as chillingly soothing, and the Glacial Iceberg Island aftershave went on with its gorgeous scent which my wife and I both love along with its major menthol kick. With the help of my Canadian Tech I had such a most delightful three pass BBS shave - gee, these Wilkinson Sword blades are fantastic! Have a great weekend - be well and stay safe! I'm glad you say it dupes a Creed....never heard of that particular Creed before. I think I'll get thet Iceberg. And now I just ordered it(along with a Liquid Bodywash).
Wednesday morning: Quick shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Canadian Tech/Wilkinson Sword day 14 Stirling Electric Sheep SS Proraso Blue ASB Stirling Island Man AS Splash What can I say - this Electric Sheep is so awesome. The scent to me is beautiful, its mutton tallow formula promotes such fantastic lather that’s so slick, and it has a very soothing sensation both during and after a shave. The Proraso Blue balm leaves my skin feeling so moisturized and comfortable while the Island Man aftershave smells so gorgeous - if that’s what Creed Virgin Island Water smells like then it’s wowwwwww. What a super super three pass BBS shave this was - the Wilkinson Sword blade earned its retirement after two weeks of diligent service. Wishing everyone a great day - see you all tomorrow. Thursday morning’s Grand Freeze: L’Oréal Men Expert Facial Wash Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Canadian Tech/new 7 AM Stirling Glacial Mango Sunrise SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Noble Otter Northern Elixir AS Splash These new Glacial soaps are all FABULOUS - all of them. The Mango Sunrise’s scent is lovely - along with the mango I detect some other notes such as papaya, coconut as well as a bit of musk. It lathers so beautifully, it’s loaded with frigidly cold menthol, and it has the typically great Stirling postshave care. The Gold Bond moisturizer works so well as a balm, and the Northern Elixir aftershave from Noble Otter has a mild scent of peppermint and eucalyptus with a strong menthol kick. These 7 AM blades seem to be sort of inconsistent in terms of quality - some of them are excellent and others are crummy. Sunday morning: Lukewarm shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/7 AM day 11 Stirling Sharp Dressed Man SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Stirling Island Man AS Splash This Sharp Dressed Man soap is such a precious soap - in my honest and humble opinion it’s one of Rod’s BEST. Do I ever LOVE the scent, it’s such a pleasure to lather, there’s so much slickness to it, and it’s so skin friendly. The Gold Bond moisturizer gave me lots of additional soothing as well as a nice cooling effect on my skin, and the Island Man aftershave smells delightful - my wife loves it on me. Menthol Monday: What a Grand Freeze this was! Lukewarm shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/7 AM day 12 Stirling Glacial Citron SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Stirling Glacial Citron AS Splash Did I ever freeze my face off this morning - this Glacial Citron soap and aftershave are the cat’s meow - the scent is so beautiful as well as refreshing and invigorating. The soap provided tons of thick, rich, super slick lather with plenty of cushion, the menthol sensation felt killer cold, and the postshave feeling was wonderful. The Gold Bond moisturizer and the Glacial Citron aftershave were a perfect finishing combination. Man oh man what a cracking good three pass BBS shave this was and I enjoyed it to the max! Saturday morning’s Grand Freeze: Lukewarm shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Derby day 3 Stirling Glacial Frozen Tuxedo SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Stirling Glacial Frozen Tuxedo AS Splash Not only am I smooth as a baby’s little tukhis, do I ever smell gorgeous as well as sexy - the Glacial Frozen Tuxedo soap and aftershave are two of Rod and Mandy’s finest creations. The soap’s tallow based like all Stirling soaps, the lather is such a pleasure to work with, the menthol sensation is incredible, and the postshave feeling is so comfortable. The Gold Bond moisturizer is also pleasantly mentholated so soothing while the Glacial Frozen Tuxedo aftershave is another menthol atom bomb - ahhhhhh, that scent is a delight just like the matching soap. Saturday, July 27 Stirling Solidus~~Simpson M7~~Cooper MonoBilt/Sharp Star~~1 Million Lucky Upon returning from a camping trip, this Stirling soap was waiting for me. Rod had sent me a sample of the bath soap and I was really pleased by the scent---a dupe of Paco Rabanne 1 Million Lucky. I had a pre-reformulation bottle of the stank ordered on ebay and the seller failed to disclose that the atomizer was kaput. Nothing but dribbles. I was compelled to decant the juice and all I had was an empty bottle of Royall Bay Rhum. (Getting the bay leaf out of the bottle was a serious PITA) Anyway, it now works, but disappointed that the OG bottle was shot. BTW, outstanding soap.

Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/Derby day 6 Stirling Glacial Iceberg Island SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Stirling Glacial Iceberg Island AS Splash Brrrrrrrrrrrrr cold and beautiful is the way to describe the scent of the Glacial Iceberg Island soap and aftershave - this is one of the newer Glacial scents that Rod and Mandy released this year. I had such tremendous lather from the soap, that gorgeous scent filled my bathroom, the menthol sensation froze my face to smithereens, and the postshave feeling was delightful - so soothing as well as comfortable. The Gold Bond moisturizer gave me lots of extra soothing along with a nice menthol coolness, and the Glacial Iceberg Island aftershave froze me out completely along with its magnificent scent - my wife loves it on me. Saturday morning’s Grand Freeze: Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Super Speed/new Astra Green Stirling Glacial Cedar SS Gold Bond Moisturizer Stirling Glacial Cedar AS Splash It’s been almost a week since I posted here because I’ve been so damned busy but here I am again. The 7 AM blades I’ve been using are so crummy - after two or three shaves they become so dull and tuggy because of my tough stubble so this morning I changed to an Astra Green blade and I got fantastic results. The Glacial Cedar soap and aftershave smell so beautiful - the soap lathers like a champ, it’s full of slickness, the menthol sensation is killer cold, and the postshave care is wonderful. The Gold Bond moisturizer is so cooling as well as soothing, and the Glacial Cedar aftershave is another menthol atom bomb with the same gorgeous scent as the soap. Finally, a couple of splashes of the Floid Vigoroso aftershave and I was good to go - do I ever LOVE that old school barbershop scent and that powerful menthol kick that it gives. I'm sure it was a great shave setup, coming from Doc and Nurse Ezlovan. But I'm not sure I'd go for a "tootty-fruity" scent for a shave. Having said that, I like their Lemon Chill, but for me it's better in a Glacial persuasion, to help "freeze" the scent.

I LOVE its scent, it gave me tons of wonderful lather, and it left my skin feeling not only icy cold but so soothed and comfortable thanks to its mutton tallow formula. The Gold Bond moisturizer is also nice and cooling as well as soothing not to mention how bone chillingly cold the Northern Elixir aftershave is. Not only are they very sharp they’re also really smooth. The Glacial Frozen Tuxedo soap and aftershave have the same magnificent scent as the Sharp Dressed Man or the Creed Green Irish Tweed but they’re loaded to the hilt with frigid menthol.
