The Morning Shave.
The Feather Hi-Stainless blade was in my 1964 Gillette Slim Adjustable today.

After missing my shave yesterday, it was another opportunity to use the Feather Hi-Stainless.
I thought I would be a little indulgent today, with the Vulfix Pure Badger and the Proraso Wood & Spice.
Absolutely love the Wood & Spice scent. Quite strong but a great scent.
Not sure if this has been completely discontinued now or if some stock is still available. I use no more than 1gram of shave cream so these last me a few years.

The Feather performs amazing with a couple of days growth, so smooth and comfortable.

Can anyone identify the watch?

Post:

Relaxing Sunday Morning Shave.

The Wilkinson Sword TTO is completely different to the Wilkinson Sword Classic plastic two piece. Aggression wise I personally find it very similar as my Chinese Gillette super speed clones. My only gripe with it is the longer than needed handle, apart from that it's a good shaver.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Cien Men Sensitive ASB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

The Arko Stick Soap lathered well with the Oscar11 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the J.A. Henckels Rapide Razor and the Henckels Wedge Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

My goodness I can’t believe how thirsty this Cold Spices soap is - it took something like six additions of water to get the lather where I wanted it. Truthfully I’m not that impressed with this stuff because although it does smell a lot like the Shulton Old Spice soap the menthol in it, although it’s not excessively strong it sort of blurs the scent somewhat. Once you get the soap/water ratio right it does give very good lather, it’s really slick, and it’s pretty good in the skincare department. The Gold Bond moisturizer felt very soothing on my skin, and the Cold Spices aftershave went on good and chilly - how would I rate the similarity to the Shulton Old Spice stuff? Very close indeed but again the menthol gets in the way somewhat. All in all a great three pass BBS shave that I enjoyed.

Here my Shave of the Day (25.08.2024)


Pre: PAA Menthol Cube // Razor: DOVO Primo II // Blade: Gillette Platinum // Soap: Palmolive Rinfrescante // Brush: PAA Peregrino // Aftershave: Alum Block - Wild River Balm

Another very good shave is in the books.

My newest razor, the DOVO Primo II, is a really great razor. Very gentle but being smooth and efficient at the same time. Great combo with the blade.

Due to the high temperatures i used my Menthol Cube for Preshave and the Palmolive Rinfrescante for the shave. Extremely refreshing.

After 2,5 passes i was done. Rinsed my face with ice cold water and used my Alum Block. Only the slightest hint of feedback on one spot, that´s it. The Balm with it´s wonderful scent was a pleasure to use and to close out this joyful shave.

10 out of 10
