Crisp setup and shave Barry.

 

If Stirling revives it and your go to razor supply store has it, then I highly recommend it. It is a floral fougere scent. My only complaint is that it comes in the 3 oz tub instead of the usual 5.8 oz size.

Cream/Soap = The Body Shop Maca Root and Aloe
Brush = Omega EVO
Bowl = Timeless
Razor = Gillette Flare tip
Blade = Kai (2)
Passes = 2 ++
Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayers Rose Petal
ASL = Fine Latigo
Scent = Santal Sandalwood, EdT, made in W.A. pleasant enough, but has no staying power

Score = 9/10, still a good shave, but the Kai doesn’t quite feel right in the Flare Tip. Made the lather a bit thicker today, which helped a bit

Damage = nevertheless, no damage was done

awesome shave Chris.i like the Kai blade in a post war design tech-1950 up..but as a bit of a change,i still prefer a spoiler blade or nacet in this tech,though the vintage Schick,and Gillette super silvers are fine as well..

this one is an early example from a #22 set.it's case was too far gone to keep
but it did it's job and protected this fine razor,zero marks or flaws..

I needed a head and face shave so I brought out my Dovo shavette and my Rockwell 6C to get to it. Did 3 error-free passes with my Dovo for the face and the same amount of error-free passes with my Rockwell 6C for the dome.

I picked the PAA/King Rex Emporium soap because it is a mildly barbershop scent that gives a slick and creamy lather. Of course I needed plenty of lather to do both shaves. Lol! Here's my lather:



Didn't get any feedback on my face, but had some on my dome. Finished this shave with the application of the witch hazel and the Pinaud-Clubman Classic aftershave. Take care.

Another phenomenal shave with the Areffa Bear fat soap. I was rewarded with a super smooth, error free shave. The post shave feel is just downright spectacular.

Thos past Friday I did a shave with the Mitchell’s Wool Fat (MWF) and use the Areffa soap to compare the wool fat vs the bear fat. Both soaps lather well and put a nice cushion on the shaving surface. Both shaves resulted in an exceptionally close shave. The difference, although very slight, is in the post shave feel. To the touch, the skin feels “softer” following the use of the soap with the bear fat.

I may shave once more with the Areffa sample before goving the remainder to Joe, @Trigger, to give a try. I think he will be as impressed as I am. In the future, I will pick up on the the bear fat offerings that Areffa has on their website.
