The Morning Shave.
The Gillette Minora blade was in my 1950’s Gillette British Rocket FlareTip today.

I am using up an old blade. I find I get a lot of very good shaves from Gillette Blades.
This is #5 on this blade, full head & face shaves. The Minora is quiet mild, very comfortable shave.
My only negative with Minora- I remove and clean my blades with a microfiber cloth after each shave. The print on the blade comes after & the inner wrapper is plain. I keep the blade with the main tuk to remind me which blade it is.

The Gillette British Rocket FlareTip is a classic razor, pure quality. This razor is older than myself, and I am getting old..

 

fabulous rocket shave..hard to beat.

 

Really cool, I find the Minora quite smooth. I remove, rinse and paper towel my blades, hang 'em on a magnet with the paper wrapper below that. Labelled with a felt tip if need be. Part of the OCD club I guess!

How do you like the Palmolive on its own?

 

Palmolive is really nice. A mild scent very affordable in Australia $3.00. Produces a really nice lather but needs a bit of work to whip up and a bit more water. All my soaps/creams are over the counter, postage is expensive for online artisan soaps.

 

thanks Garry, I currently use mine as a preshave (much cheaper than and better than Proraso preshave I think anyway) but plan to probably give it a whirl on its own at some stage and see how it pans out

The Eskimo Tuxedo Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #457 Synthetic Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Red Tip Razor and the Gillette Super Blue Blade X3 gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Mennen Skin Bracer After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Why would a sane person use a razor over Half Century Old? Maybe because it still works.
