    Shaving Recipe for today.

    Prep: Warm shower:/Bulldog Peppermint & Eucalyptus Shower Gel.

    Pre:
    Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
    Cien PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap.
    Brush: Omega 10066.
    Bowl Lather.
    Lather: La Barbiera Fresh Lemon Shaving Soap.
    Blade:Treet Dura Sharp (Carbon) Yellow/Red pack. (D1)
    Razor: King C Gillette.

    Post:
    Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./Cold water face & Head wash with brush squeezing's,/Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils, 5 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Duru Mandarin Cologne./Bulldog Original Moisturiser.

    Greetings,

    (Face & Head Shave.)

    The La Barbiera shaving soap produced an excellent lather in a short space of time. I find the soap works well with face & bowl lathering, building up a lather with a my damp boar brush gives great results adding water to the tips of the brush to get the lather to the consistency I prefer.

    Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Bulldog Original Moisturiser.

    My face & precious swede are feeling smooth & smelling divine.;)

    Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.:cool:

    Thanks Joe, I like it, not sure it's my favorite though

    Nice to know, don't own these so can't comment, but glad you are happy with these

    thanks Gary

    Nice post and pics, don't mind the bay rum myself, not as strong as the Stirling stuff, but that's all personal taste I guess

    Adjustable August

    Days growth = 1
    Prep = Hot water prep x 3
    Preshave = Proraso Cypress and Vetyver
    Cream/Soap = Sterling Satsuma
    Brush = Pura Setola
    Bowl = Timeless
    Razor = Gillette Slim @4
    Blade = Vintage Gillette [made in Australia for the Japanese market (1)]
    This was a bit tricky to get out from the so-called fast dispenser. Nice and smooth though
    Passes = 2 + as needed
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayers Rose Petal, like this more than the Lavender
    ASL = PR Rinfrescante
    Scent = Prada Black Luna Rossa EdP sample, just a touch, had some appointments today
    Score = 9 /10
    Damage = none

    Preshave = Proraso Cypress and Vetyver is now finished. Going forward I will be focusing on using my shave creams in a tube as preshave. These seem to work better than the PR, for me at least

    Can’t believe we are near the end of August already

    A nasty beginning to my shave this morning, but it turned out real good in the end. Once again, I had difficulty squezing out the Rise foam. I never had such difficulty with the set of 9 cans I bought from RiseIntl. com. Course those Rises were a little different than these. This time I didn't hold the can under the tap water before applying, but the result was about the same, which frustrates me to no end. Thing is, once it's on my face and neck, I end up with a fine shave. It's like nothing bad happened with the "delivery". That is what frustrates me. Clean and clear all over...once again I had to do extra work at North Porcupine and the jawline but I succeeded. One pass Zero cuts, Knicks, Polka-dots. . Finished off with Clubman Reserve Gent's Gin again...good A.S. Very Outsnasing. (note-others here have commented on the "exit strategy" I've been having with this Rise. I'll keep at it, but if I don't see an improvement soon, I may just "chuck it all"(we have a thread devoted to doing that). Never thought I'd say that about Rise. Shux.).

    Good morning.

    Straight Razor Shave #571
    F W Engels Special
    J T Spartan Synthetic Brush
    Soap Commander Honor SS (sample)
    Pinaud-Clubman Classic AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Personal Care Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 42 hrs

    It was long overdue to use this straight so it got the call for today's shave. Although this razor is approximately 100 yrs old, it still gives a fine shave.
    I selected Soap Commander Honor SS because I haven't used it for a long while, too. My experience with Soap Commander is that it provides a slick, creamy lather. My only negative is that the scents are very mild. Joe C @JACarbone piffed this sample. Thanks Joe. Here's my lather:

    Three error-free passes gave me a very close and comfortable shave. I had very little feedback from the alum block. Applied the witch hazel and the Pinaud-Clubman Classic aftershave to finish this session. Take care.
