    Great intro as usual, Joe.

I am going to get as many Esses ("S") into my September shaves as possible. I am going to do SE, Supply/Schick, Synthetic Brush, Simpson's, Stirling September.

I am sure you will all be stunned to see that the result will be a shaving setup that looks identical to the one I was using at the end of August...

One change will be that as the days get cooler here, I will switch from Stirling Iced Pineapple with its menthol chill to Stirling Scots Pine, which smells like a fall coniferous forest. The Scots Pine soap is also part of Stirling's Sheep lineup - it has both mutton tallow and lanolin in its ingredients. So that will be an extra "S" for September.

Great "S" shave there - SE, Sheep in the soap and Sandalwood in the splash. Well done!

Great setup, Joe! I never realized you could get an injector blade to work in a GEM razor! Hmmm...

Sunday Sept 01 (evening) - SE Supply, Synthetic, Simpson's, Stirling September

Prep: Hot shower with Aleppo olive oil soap w/ 20% bay laurel oil (traditional anti-acne)

Razor: Supply 2.0 matte black stainless steel injector w/ SE "nickproof" comb plate / Personna white box (3)

    Soap: Stirling Iced Pineapple

Brush: Simpson's Chubby 2 Synthetic Bristle

    Lather Bowl: None

Post: rinse, alum, rinse, Stirling Iced Pineapple splash

Last shave: Tuesday evening - 5 days

The setup (identical to my last August shaves):

    The result: excellent.

The Stirling soap always lathers quickly and easily and provides excellent slickness and protection.

I did one pass WTG and a second XTG. That left me acceptably cleanshaven.

The Personna blade on its third use felt very sharp and smooth. This blade felt like it was just wiping off the lather and the whiskers were magically disappearing with the lather - an effortless shave.

The alum gave no feedback, and I had no nicks, blood spots or razorburn.

The splash provided a good ending to the shave.

I expect I will switch to the non-mentholated Scots Pine soap and splash for my next shaves.

Hope everyone has a great Labour's Day long weekend - for those in places where that is a thing.

    Stirling Shavette September

Razor - CJB Greager GR1003 Shavette
    Blade - Feather Pro A/C
    Soap - Stirling Sheep
Brush - 2019 Meetup handle with a Badger/Boar hybrid knot

Well I finally got things settled enough to get into a daily routine. After 3 weeks of not shaving at all I decided September was the time to start. My original idea was Shavette/Straight September. Then I read Joe's intro and loved the idea of adding Stirling to the mix. Definitely my favorite soap maker. I still have a ton of it in stock and even added some new Iced Coffee to the collection. One of my old favorites that I have missed for too long.

It's been 4 years or so since I picked up a pain stick. Figured I'd see if I still had what it takes. I chose the CJB because my first ever A/C style shavette was the original CR 100-B that I won in a pif from @Keithmax in the early days of this group. My blade of choice - the Feather Pro A/C blade, of which I still have a good supply again due to the generosity of @Keithmax. I've tried all of the artist club blades and the Feather Pro is absolutely my favorite.

For the soap - Stirling Sheep. Love that mutton tallow. And the brush - a high end Badger/Boar hybrid that I put in one of the 2019 meetup custom handles.

Happy to say I am bloodless, and finished with a very fine shave. The muscle memory held and the month is off to a great start. I'll be posting a picture of all of the various shavettes I'll be using this month.

Hope everyone is having a great Labor Day weekend.

Yes, It obviously works in my MMOC. Here's a video by Jayaruh a TSD member using the injector blade in a MMBT (Bullet)

I am not sure if it works with the GEM Clogpruf

Awesome shave Neil. Glad you appreciate the Stirling September theme. I am not surprised that you got a great shavette shave despite the fact that it's been years since you have done one. I suspect it's like riding a bicycle. You never forget.

    Hello all.

It's been to long since I've posted any of my shaving shenanigans.
This morning after not shaving for 2 whole days, well it's gotta go. I have a little time to report what everyone has helped me with here, the shave.
    20240902_063551.jpg

My two favorite razor blade combinations for the win.

My wonderful no holds bared custom blade holder matched with a new Feather DE blade. (Left) Looks a little rough but I have only used a toothbrush and dish soap to clean it. Brass gets that patina after a few months of use with only light cleaning.
The other is a stainless steel open comb blade holder with an SE artist Feather blade. (Right) IF I remember correctly, it's NOT recommended to use this blade because it makes it to "aggressive", whatever that means.
I find that blade to be very smooth and comfortable in this blade holder.
Both require riding the cap for a wonderful job.

I used the DE for the mug, the SE for the gourd.
I just couldn't choose between the two.
The DE gives a unbelievable close one pass shave.
It is amazing how this SE trims around ears so close, considering the design.

Ready to go out into the world!

    Thanks to All..
    Enjoy!

Thank you, John. It was a great "S" shave. The Pashana Original ASL essential oils are patchouli, sandalwood, cedarwood, and rosemary which only a small amount is required to last all day long.
