Thanks Joe. I will hang out with anyone that offers free hotdogs, hamburgers, chips and sides. I am a cheap date Lol!
Getting back to your inquisitive statement. Anytime I use a fresh blade, I get stinging on my neck no matter how soft my touch or small angle of attack on my skin. It just is.

    Super (semi) slant shave Barry

I don't have any carbon blades to the best of my knowledge, but good to know they work for you

Scruffy face after 2 days, this was deliberate though, to test the Schick type E again

Day 7 of the Schick Blade, same setup as the 3rd September with respect to hardware and software

Definitely starting to tug a bit, blade hopping around and not slicing as is should

3 passes were needed hence there was a bit of a weeper top lip left, but cleared with cold water

100% DFS, almost BBS most places

Imperial Leather ASL and Santal Spirit Sandalwood are both mild scents with little longevity so can be used liberally

The timeless bowl is still a favourite, light, easy to grip, no chance of slipping, and if it does it will bounce

The Semogue OC finest badger is a really good face painter, holds on to the lather a bit, but is easy to load up liberally beforehand to compensate. Strange though that it is very easy to rinse clean and dries faster than my bristle/boar brushes

Bonus: big donut hole in the Satsuma sample soap

    Have a Great Thursday!

Thank you, Chris. The Treet Black Carbon work really well with my slant razors. As always though, YMMV. DE blades have to be the most subjective issue with traditional wet shaving.

Cool, do you get as many shaves with the Carbon blades?

While my shave products were different this morning, the shave result turned out to be just about the same as yesterday. Nice job at the loading dock for the "American Barber" soap, which included loading a bit more soap for the second pass. 2 Razorocks at work there-the soap and the brush(Plissoft "400"). Clean and clear everywhere, but for some slight damage at Central Cactus Nation again. Once again, no pain but I guess I went a little too hard there, luckily not hard enough for blood. The Clubman A.S. removed the ugliness. Upon application, I sure felt the "tingle" of it(Clubman). Good sign. Pretty Outstanding is the overall grade.

I normally get 2-3 shaves max from the black carbon, I suppose I could put some mineral oil on the edges to extend the longevity of them but I'm not a one to push DE blades to the extreme.
Recently because I have such a vast amount of them to use up, I use them twice then change them, with the exception of my injector/ SE Persona/GEM blades,& a few DE blades.
P.S. I have read that some people can use the same blade for months with good results!..my beard type is like iron fillings in places, so it dulls the blade edges down extremely quick. thats why i only use a blade for 2-3 shaves max.
