    Rating: 5 / 5

Razor: Wester Bros. 6/8” 33 Fraternity
    Brush: Jayaruh 329 Boar
    Pre-Shave: Pears Transparent Soap
Lather: PAA Atomic Pumpkin Bay Rum
Aftershave: PAA Atomic Pumpkin Bay Rum
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Thos morning there was a crisp chill in the air therefore I called an audible to select the warming Fall scent of the Atomic Pumpkin. The Jayaruh boar brush whipped up a nice lather for the three pass extravaganza.

The Wester Bros. straight delivered an exceptionally close shave without an incidents.

Hope you all had a great day.

I like doing head and face shaves at night and tonight is no exception.
I went with the Rockwell Tv1 for the dome and the Frederick Reynolds for the face.
Did 3 error-free passes for the head and face for a ultra smooth shave.

I chose Angora Soaps Midnight Lavender because it's been awhile and it needed to come out. It just is an awesome scent and makes a creamy, rich, slick lather. Here's my lather:

Had minimal alum feedback on the neck and none elsewhere. Splashed on the witch hazel and the matching aftershave to end this session. Take care.

Much better shave this morning than previous mornings. Why. No negative issues at Cactus Nation. That brought the final grade way up. Great job at the Loading Dock with the Stoylin "'li'l brudder'" brush. I've said many times, it may be little but it sure packs a big punch. The shave soap is getting low but it still gives me a lot. Clean and clear all around. 2 passes. Boy, that tingle of the Clubman came at me again-must mean it's working. No cologne today. As Outstanding As It Gets.

Luckily, I have an unused tub of Music City Suds Lavender and Ever Amen and and one that is maybe halfway full. My Angora Soaps Midnight Lavender is hardly used so I am good with my Lavender scented soaps. As per your suggestion, I usually go to my used Music City Suds Lavender and Ever Amen puck and other soaps in my den to prevent me from using my Midnight Lavender too early.

Great shave Gary. I am not shaving today, but you inspired me to use Seaforth Spice Lime for tomorrow's shave.

Friday Sept 06 (evening) - SE Supply, Synthetic, Semogue, Stirling September

Prep: Hot shower with Aleppo olive oil soap w/ 20% bay laurel oil (traditional anti-acne)

Razor: Supply 2.0 matte black stainless steel injector w/ SE "nickproof" comb plate / Personna white box (4)

    Soap: Stirling Scots Pine Sheep

Brush: Semogue SOC cherrywood badger re-knotted with APShaveCo Tuxedo synthetic

    Lather Bowl: None

Post: rinse, alum, rinse, Stirling Scot Pine splash

Last shave: Sunday evening - 5 days

    The setup:

    IMG_20240906_173749_6_kindlephoto-381016627.jpg

    The result: excellent.

I didn't shake out my brush enough beforehand so it had a bit too much water in it. However, after it sprayed and dripped soapy water everywhere for awhile, it settled down and performed a proper face lathering.

The Stirling soaps always lather quickly and easily and provide excellent slickness and protection. The "Sheep" line with mutton tallow and lanolin are particularly good.

And the Scots Pine is an excellent fall scent -- a strong coniferous forest smell.

I did one pass WTG and a second XTG. That left me acceptably cleanshaven. The alum gave no feedback, and I had no nicks, blood spots or razorburn.

The splash would have provided a good ending to the shave, but I was in a hurry to run a few errands and forgot to apply it. The sheep soap provided enough moisturizing and post-shave protection that I didn't miss the splash. Next shave...

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

    Thanks, Joe.

I will remember to use the splash too next time.

I think I will mostly stick with this Scots Pine Sheep for the month, although I do have nice Stirling Vanilla Bean Espresso and Bay Rum sets too. They don't have the mutton tallow, but they do have lanolin, so they are at least partly "sheep".
