SLANTember, Tuesday,Sept 10th 2024

Razor : Razorock Wunderbar 316 SSP with a modified Micromatic handle. Mfg 2018> mid to upper mid range. This razor works great with a Steep angle(riding the bar) light touch + a short handle produce excellent shaves for myself. Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning.
Blade : Gillette Permasharp, sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity. Top tier blade in my shave den.
Soap : Razorock XXX croap, nice cologne fresh scent is the best way to describe it with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Casinos" 26mm Timber wolf knot. Excellent lather generator, luxury heavenly cloud like soft tips, nice gentler splay scrubber + excellent lather painter. This brush is excellent for a gentle splay scrub with a nicest face feel has been my experiences.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock XXX splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless) & RR XXX cologne.
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + 1 blemish weeper= Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning with my Razorock Wunderbar with a Perma-sharp blade.

Oh, well, thanks for that info and reassurance. I was wondering why Proraso wouldn't mention that about the red one. Now I can hang on to my two "Coarse" shsve foam cans(and my "Coarse" A.S.).

The Morning Shave.
The Wilkinson Sword blade was in my 1964 Gillette Slim Adjustable today.

The Gillette Saloon pack is great value. 100 x blades were around $12 Aus – Amazon.
A nice daily shave, very comfortable with no weepers or irritation.
Matched with Wilkinson Sword soap – Black Barber Style. Very fresh citrus scent.

I kept the Gillette Slim on 5, mid setting for daily use.

Williams Wednesday's Cold Water Shave

The Williams Mug Soap lathered well with the Semogue 1305 boar brush. Two passes and touch ups with the 1914 Gillette Pocket Edition Razor and the Gillette Super Blue Blade X3 gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Duru Cologne. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

 

Oh yeah, I like my coarse Aftershave.

My dear brother Fernando in Johannesburg, South Africa is a true Grand Master of soaps and aftershaves - his Frosted Bay Rum smells so GORGEOUS. The soap is a tallow based treasure with fabulous lather that’s so thick, rich, cushiony, super slick as well as protective, the menthol sensation is POWERFUL, and the skincare is wonderful. The Prep felt so cooling and soothing, while the Frosted Bay Rum aftershave went on frigidly cold along with its delightful scent. Another perfect three pass BBS shave that was so pleasurable!

Razor : Razorock 2nd Generation Lupo.72 SSP . Mfg 2021>, mid range. Excellent razor for my shave needs, this razor is in my weekly rotation delivering consistently great shaves from large collection of other razors . Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning.
Blade : Perma-sharp (2) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Yaqi The Green croap, this scent is kind of addictive from a walk in the evergreen forest in spring when sap is running + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Mountain lake" 24mm 2band badger. Excellent lather generator, pillow like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + great lather painter. All around great brush from handle to knot IMO.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Yaqi "The Green" splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning with my RR Lupo.72 with a Gillette Perma-sharp.
