Finished and done, MdC has fallen. Great soap, adding a liquid lanolin gives this soap a nudge over the line into greatness. I went with an old school vibe to send this MdC on its way. A George Woshtenhom blade, a (new) Double Duck brush and the stank of stanks, vintage Kouros. Maybe now @Primotenore will crack open his bottle and see why this one earned it's reputation. My bottle is not a spray but a splash, leading to over application. Today is the start of Chusok, basically it is a three day holiday to celebrate the harvest and follows the lunar calandar. Technically it is Tuesday but has always been a three day holiday so people can travel back to their home town. The roads in Seoul are empty and all is quiet here.
I know all about Kouros, having used the OG for many years. Stank of Stanks, IMO. BTW, well done with the MdC. That's no easy 3017.
Well, I got the bright idea to transfer the MdC from its wooden bowl to a wider shave bowl so I could load the brush easier. Everything went well yesterday. However...............disaster this morning. I dropped the shave bowl and it shattered into pieces with ceramic and soap pieces everywhere. I am out of this 3017.
That sucks, Clint. One thing about the Brain Bowl, the bowl is indestructable. Enjoy some variety for a while. Hope the rest of your day goes better.
I know. Live and Learn. Die and forget it all. I have had a bad weekend anyway so it continued trough this morning.
Just FYI, the Catie’s Bubbles Waterlyptus continues to put up a formidable fight. I’m combining it with my least favorite Chatillon Lux flavor (Champs De Lavande), which is still pretty good stuff. The idea is to extinguish my supply of these summery scents before Halloween so I can move towards a more fall-like vibe for the next 3016. This whole process seems like it’s happening in slow motion…
Monday, September 16 Baume.be~~Simpson T3~~Wolfman WR2 Ti/Voskhod~~Vintage Polo (Cosmair) After the most recent 3017, I was in need of some variety. The Baume, while supposedly the original formulation, is mos def® NOT the same cream I used back in the day. The color and consistency are different. the OG was light yellow and more "creamy". It's still a very good product, but I really wish soap makers would keep their busy-body hands OFF. Vintage Cosmair Polo for the stanky finish.
