These Biolijf soaps are from the Netherlands and I think they’re AWESOME. This Spice has a beautiful spicy scent, it gives terrific lather, and it’s very soothing as well as moisturizing. The Gold Bond moisturizer felt wonderful on my skin, and do I ever LOVE the Pinaud Bay Rum aftershave - its scent pairs very well with the scent of this soap. Another delightful three pass BBS shave that I enjoyed from start to finish!

Sunday shave, SEptember 29th, 2024

Razor : Yaqi Excalibur SE 50mm + a Yaqi 316 SSP Milano handle. Mfg 2021>, mild to tame mid range. I used this razor for years and once mastered it gives a decent shaves 95%> of the time. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Schick proline p30 50mm blades (7). Sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity.
Soap : Razorock Irish Countryside. nice unique scent with excellent lather qualities. This Soap whipped up with a synthetic produces some rich lather I have noticed over the years. Natural hair brushes work excellent also.
Brush : Yaqi "Rainbow" 26mm brown whiskers synthetic. excellent lather generator, luxury heavenly cloud like soft tips, nice splay scrubber + excellent lather painter.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Irish countryside (Dup of Irish creed) with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Yaqi Excalibur razor with a Schick proline blade.

My last Shave for September (29.09.2024)


Razor: Mühle R41 + Maggard MR5 Handle // Blade: Gillette Platinum // Soap: Calani Classic Havana // Brush: Nightdiver´s Honeystick // Aftershave: Alum - Witch Hazel - PAA Tombstone

Good shave. But in a direct comparison between the R41 and the Fatip Il Grosso, i would prefer the Fatip. It is smoother and more gentle by having the same level of thoroughness. But the MR5 Handle is a banger. What a fantastic handle.

The soap…man do i miss Calani…this scent has not lost any of it´s strength. Wonderful. Scent as well as the lather.

2,5 passes and i was BBS.

The Alum Block had relatively strong feedback to it, even i did not use any pressure. The Witch Hazel took care of it and than the fantastic smelling Aftershave spread it´s scent. Leather, Tobacco and a hint of Gun Powder with some Rose. Wow…i love it.

A 8 out of 10
