  1. I am looking forward to you using it Barry. Are you going to load a Feather blade in it and perform with it as well?

  2. I will carry on with some DE blades I've infrequently used, but I will be doing a Feather & R41 duo too, which is a superb combo. I've now found that the R41 actually performs more efficiently pairing it up with a more aggressive blade, which make the shave feel effortlessly smooth.

    The setup:

    IMG_20240926_060313.jpg

The setup was exactly the same as Thursday's shave.

The result: also exactly the same -- Excellent!

I confirmed my new thoughts on the Parker Adjustable injector. It did a great job for me again today. Two clean passes, one WTG and the second XTG. After the second pass, I was cleanshaven to a DFS standard with no blood and no razorburn. Alum was silent.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend. The temperatures have been dropping to near 0 Celsius here at night lately. Yesterday morning, I mowed my lawn for the last time this year. As a side benefit, the mower removed a lot of the fallen leaves, reducing the amount of raking required later. And then I blew out the underground sprinkler systems at my house and my sister's place so they won't freeze and burst when the temperature drops further in the next month or so. It was still T-shirt weather outside yesterday, but it won't be for much longer...
  9. You were rather slumming it with that Tech this morning though, weren't you? Or was that a Sunday "humility" shave after the recent run of Aristocrats? ;)

Edit: Whoops! I see you were being humble for work on Saturday and are back to being King of the World today...

I had such a close shave that I could have held off until tomorrow, but I want to look clean-shaven for church this evening.
Therefore, I picked my Gillette Heritage because it's a mild razor that would do well with my slight stubble. Three error-free passes with buffing gave me an ultra smooth and comfortable shave. As I was inspired by @JACarbone Joe's use of Stirling Spice, I decided to bring it out for this shave. It's a wonderful scent and always makes a nice lather. Here's my lather:

I had minimal alum feedback. Splashed on the witch hazel and the matching aftershave to end this session. Take care.
  13. Definitely a Fine Shave Gary. I was wondering how you got the aftershave over the border and now I know.

  18. Thanks, Gary. I like it. Odd thing though: to me the combination of coffee and vanilla bean ends up smelling almost chocolatey.

  19. Great Heritage shave, Joe! I don't have any "spice" products, but the two I have considered off and on are the Stirling Spice and the B&M version.

  20. Thanks John. I have never tried the B and M version, but I have heard it's very good.
