Prep: Warm shower:/Cien Moisture Shower Gel.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Cien PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap.
Brush: Fine 24mm Synthetic.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Nivea Men Sensitive Pro Ultra-Calming Liquid Shaving Cream.
Blade: Wilkinson Sword Classic. (D2)
Razor: FaTip Grande.

Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's,/Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Brut ASL with added menthol crystals./L'0REAL Barber Club Reinforcing ASB.

An enjoyable 2 pass + pick-ups close comfortable near BBS shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of L'0REAL Barber Club Reinforcing ASB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

Here my Sunday Shave (13.10.2024)


Razor: Pearl Flexi // Blade: Gillette Platinum // Soap: Truefitt & Hill Sandalwood // Brush: Shavemac // Aftershave Taylor of old Bond Street Sandalwood (sample)

I had a distinguished shave.

Soap lathered wonderful, but the scent is even more wonderful. Can ´t stopp sniffing it. So elegant and manly at the same same. Fantastic.

The Brush had no problems whipping up lather for more than three passes.

2 passes (on setting 4) were needed to be smooth as glass. This little fella is so thoroughly…wow…and extremely smooth and gentle. You get blade feel but not that much that it would be uncomfortable in any way. This could be my best adjustable i have in my den.

The Aftershave was the icing on the cake.

Enjoyment at it´s best.

Sunday Shave, OCtober 13th 2024

Razor : Gem Micromatic OC .Mfg 1930- 41, mid to upper mid range. Excellent machining + metal stamping for that time era. The Micromatic OC is one of the more aggressive Gem razors variants in my opinion. I do receive excellent results usually with a light touch has been my experiences over the years. Had a close comfortable shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (8) very sharp, smooths out nicely, excellent longevity, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Razorock Lavender, nice rich scent of lavender + excellent lather qualities. One of my favorite lavender soaps(obsolete!).
Brush : Yaqi "Purple haze" 24mm synthetic. Excellent lather generator, luxury cloud like soft tips, gentle splay scrubber, excellent lather painter. Nice handle and knot for my shave needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock King Louis lavender with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Gem Micromatic OC with a coated Gem blade.

After having to refrain from eating, drinking, showering, and shaving yesterday it felt so wonderful to take a nice hot shower this morning and then to lather up with this delightful Sanga Symphony soap from my dear brother Jaco in Pretoria, South Africa. This soap is tallow based with such a beautiful cologne type scent, it lathers so thick, rich as well as slick, and it’s so gentle on my sensitive skin. The Proraso Blue balm is also very moisturizing as well as soothing, and the Island Man aftershave smells absolutely gorgeous. Five, yes five passes were needed to get cleaned up but what a tremendous BBS shave this was!

Novus Spice has become my new current favourite Soap both in performance and scent. It often takes me back to around 2015 when James Riley (OSP) released his original Spice Road prototype which was given to some testers.

I'm back. Internet is working again. We have weathered the storm well in North Cackalaky. We are on high ground and only lost two trees. Down the hill from us four homes washed away and many were flooded. Three men lost their lives along with their homes because they refused to evacuate.

I shaved this morning with Proraso Green and my Roger Quintero Schick inspired injector razor. I used my Jayaruh #461 synthetic brush to face lather the Proraso. I finished off with Duru Lemon Cologne. I am clean, smooth and refreshed.
