This morning with my 47 No-notch Gillette Aristocrat with a Gillette Super Blue Blade X3 (19). The Williams Mug Shaving Soap lathered well with my Jayaruh #47 Synthetic brush. I did two passes and topped it off with Pinaud Clubman After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

    Saturday morning’s Grand Freeze:

Lemony scented icicles in my face!

    King C. Gillette Facial Wash
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Super Speed/new Wilkinson Sword
    Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill SS
    Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill ASB
Stirling Glacial Lemon Chill AS Splash
    Christian Dior Eau Sauvage EdT

Ahhhhhhh, fresh tangy lemon with tons and tons of frigidly cold menthol, magnificent rich, thick, super slick, protective lather, my eyes were tearing a little from the menthol fumes, but the postshave feeling was so soothing as well as comfortable. The matching balm and aftershave were a perfect finish. Finally the lovely Eau Sauvage fragrance and my weekend is off to a great start. The brand new Wilkinson Sword blade helped to ensure a perfect BBS shave that I enjoyed immensely!

See you all tomorrow - same time same station![IMG]

I've suddenly realised looking at your image you've made an error with your razor choice Chris. The razor in the photo is a Muhle R89 :signs081:...It's an easy mistake, I've done it myself more than a few times, "we must account for small human errors", as the handle on both the R41 & R89 are identically the same.

Well spotted @palmolive fox, nice pick, thanks for the heads up. I will edit the posts. The R41 has a different handle. I will be keen to compare that to the R89 soon.

Also, the R89 is a closed comb. I have made the same type of mistakes. (Notice that plural) It's easier to do than one might think.
I just double checked my self. There's an old Badger & Blade post that said the original Muhle R89 was an open comb; it was a rebranded Fatip razor, but Muhle discontinued that one in 2009.
I have a few Fatip razors and like a couple more than the others. Of the Muhle razors I only have the 2013 R41 and the R89 Twist 2pc razors. I like both, but I like the R89 better. To me, it gives a smoother and close shave with lower possibility of razor burn.

    Shaving Recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Cien Moisture Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Cien PURE Fragrance Free Sensitive Bar Soap.
    Brush: Omega 11137.
    Face Lather.
Lather: Tabac Original Shaving soap. (Tallow)
    Blade: Gillette London Bridge. (D2)
Razor: Yaqi DOC Mellon Razor Head./Schmidt R10 Handle.

    Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's,/Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Tabac Original ASL./L'0REAL Barber Club Reinforcing ASB.

    Greetings,

It's been a while since I last used the Tabac duo and as always, the performance from the soap & a/s was astounding, a wonderful slick protective lather from the soap with a classic old school scent from this superb old school duo....I have yet to try the new version of the soap, which isn't tallow based. I still have an unopened refill of the old tallow version which will keep me going for quite some time.

From my first use of Tabac products I was instantly hooked by the wonderful slick protective lather it created & old school fragrance.
It's one of those soaps that I could quite happily use with every shave, but that would become tedious and making it a mundane routine for me which traditional wet shaving should never become...I know some people have 'love/hate opinions on Tabac products The scent isn't for everyone which I totally understand, but for me personally the fragrance comes second besides once I do my cold water rinse the scent of the lather has virtually gone anyway with the exception of Tabac and a few others.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of L'0REAL Barber Club Reinforcing ASB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

Keep safe and enjoy your Sunday ladies & gentlemen.

both my Muhles are modern 2021 and 2022 purchases. If I ever lose/drop my R89 I would opt for the twist variety
