    Great shave this morning. Leather was the key persuasion in both the soap and aftershave. I forget now where I purchased the soap(Grooming Dept. Kairos 2022), possibly Wet The Face. Anyway, nice work on the face&neck, zero damages. 2 passes. Maybe a little too much Fine Latigo A.S. on, will watch out tomorrow. Ah, it'll calm down as the day progresses. I still chuckle at a Latigo video where the person pronounced it "Latt-a-go".Kinda takes away the European persuasion of it all. Great stuff, regardless. As Outstanding As It Gets.

    Good afternoon.

    Shavette Shave #585
    Parker SRB
    Suneko Amorphous Diamond 1/2 DE Blade (14)
    Rockwell Model T v1 (6)
    Zorrik DE Blade (5)
    L'Occitane Plisson Synthetic Brush
    TSD Barbershoppe SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Personal Care Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 43.5 hrs
    Dome Turf: 4.75 days

    20241102_132127.jpg

    Definitely getting lazy doing headshaves on a more frequent basis and having an almost 2 day beard stubble warranted a shave this afternoon.
    I chose the Model T to hit the dome and the Parker SRB to hit the face and neck. Did 3 passes on my dome with some extra buffing for an almost smooth BBS shave. I think the 5th shave on this blade with heavy dome growth ended the sharpness and therefore had to be binned. I am undecided as to pick what brand of blade for my next shave with this razor. No biggie. I have other razors that I can use. Lol! Anyway, I also did 3 passes with my Parker to get a nice smooth result. Btw, there wasn't any blood loss during these shaves.
    I went with TSD Barbershoppe soap. It is slick and makes a great lather. Here it is:

    The alum was silent all around. Splashed on the witch hazel and the matching aftershave to finish this session. Take care.

    Razor: Double Duck Goldedge
    Brush: Semogue Hereditas - Boar
    Pre-Shave: Pears Transparent Soap
    Lather: PAA Sangre de Drago
    Aftershave: PAA Sangre de Drago
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

    Outstanding shaved this morning with the darker. scent of the Sangre de Drago. Excellent three pass shave with the straight that resulted in super smoothness and no errors.

    We have a gorgeous day here on LI. Perfect, full weather that compliments this scent nicely.

    I hope you are all enjoying your wonderful Saturday

    Ok Joe, nice intro again: I will see how long I can go with one razor, one soap, one blade, one brush, hopefully for the first week I can make this a No Variant week, or a mini focus ;)

    If I bail out then I guess it will have to convert to a No Repeat November

    If that fails...oh well, then it's No Rule November! Lol!

    Late posts....

    01 Nov 2024

    2 Days growth after a busy end to October

    Usual Prep and Preshave = Faulding’s shave cream: aiming to Fitzgerald this in November
    Cream/Soap = Razorock XXX
    Brush = Semogue Owners club
    Bowl = smooth white plastic bowl
    Razor = Merkur 37C
    Blade = Kai (1)
    Passes = 3 +
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayers rose petal, Nivea balm
    ASL = Clubman Pinaud, not my favourite, but I want to start using this up faster
    Scent = Guerlain Pour Homme
    Damage = none

    I used the same setup for my last shave of October, but then I used the Gillette Wilkinson blade and found it wanting. So today I went back to the Japanese blade because of its increased width

    Better result. The XXX was thick and smooth. The Semogue OC Cherry brush is splaying nicely. I did find at the end of the day the re-growth felt sharper than usual, credit of the the Jap blade I guess

    02 Nov 2024

    1 Days growth

    same setup but with day 2 of the Kai Blade

    Passes = 2 full passes and then buffing as needed
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayers rose petal, Nivea balm
    ASL = clubman Pinaud
    Scent = Guerlain Pour Homme
    Damage = none

    I made the lather a lot thinner than yesterday, still good enough. The blade was fine on day 2 perhaps a bit smoother. Superb smooth result, no damage, but the skin is feeling that it has had some serious attention

    03 Nov 2024: Sunday Shave

    1 Days growth

    Same setup again but with
    Blade = Kai (3)
    1 full pass and then buffing as needed
    Damage = none

    Only 30 swirls of the dampened brush on the soap, into the white bowl, adding water until nice and shiny, lathering straight over the PreShave Faulding’s cream. Dipped brush in some water and thinned up the lather on the face, leaving the thicker lather in the bowl for later re-application. Less loading of the brush results in less lather, and more control of it's hydration. Am liking the white bowl more and more, nice and wide, easy to grip, not slippery

    Pretty much done after one pass, with some judicious buffing. No blood, but perhaps some minor redness left side of the neck. It feels like the Kai was smoother today, and I might give it another outing next time round

    Alum was mild, super smooth shave again, enough lather to deal with the back of the neck

    Hope your Sundays all turn out great
