Here my Shave of the Day (03.11.2024)


Razor: Pearl Flexi // Blade: Gillette Bleue Extra // Soap: B&M Bay Rum // Brush: PAV Brushworks // Aftershave: homemade Bay Rum

irritated skin…not the best conditions for a great shave,

Lather was fine but the knot had difficulties lathering up. That´s what made wonder. Lather disappeared in the second pass. So i needed to re-lather. Scent was outstanding.

The Flexi had no problems shaving off the whiskers (even on setting 1) but after the shave my face burnt a bit and i had a few red spots (no blood spots).

My homemade Bay Rum Aftershave did have no burn at all and took care.

Dońt know what that was…due to this the shave was not that enjoyable as i hoped for.

Today only a 7 out of 10

Because of my big pressure bandage, I did a partial shave today: left cheek, and neck areas. The Colgate Mug Shave Soap lathered well with the Jayaruh #224 synthetic brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Ever-Ready Lather Catcher and the Personna Gem Stainless PTFE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Florida Water. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Sunday Schick shave, November 3rd 2024

Razor : Schick E2 injector, Canadian variant. Mgfg 1930's- 40's, tame mid-mid range. Well designed and efficient to last for many generations. Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning.
Blade : SChick injector(yellow packaging of 7 blades )(2) sharp and smooth with reasonable longevity. great blade.
Soap : Ach Brito Lavanda, nice scented lavender with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Mountain Lake" 2band badger. Excellent badger for my shaving needs.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Arch Brito Lavanda with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning with my Schick E2, Canadian Variant with a Schick coated injector blade.
