    Thanks for the Shout Joe. I have to echo your comments on the 39c, it's longer handle does take some getting use to. I consider the 37c to be one of the most user friendly slant bar razors on the market, the design, weight and overall performance is amazingly good.

    A very good beginning to my Gillette/Bill Neumann threefer this long week-end. This shave showed the example of how it can be one thing to administer shave foam onto your face and neck, yet another thing to shave it all off nicely. It came out of the can in cloud form after shaking the can and dipping it under the warm tap. I liked THAT. However I went a little too carefree at North Porcupine Alley(just under the nose). I'll be sure to fix that issue tomorrow. Nice job elsewhere. No damage. One pass(maybe I should have done a second "mini-pass" up at North Porcupine). The "skin-loving" Bill Neumann A.S. did exactly what it has done since 1907(when it was introduced)-provide a soft feel to the face and neck, with its pleasant manly scent. Super Duper Outstanding.

    Good afternoon

    MicroTouch TTO
    Wilkinson Sword DE Blade (1)
    MrEE LE #10 Cashmere Synthetic Brush
    PAA/King R Emporium SS
    Pinaud-Clubman Classic AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Personal Care Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 50.5 hrs

    I went with the MicroTouch TTO Razor and put in a fresh Wilkinson Sword DE Blade. Now, this blade is a Gillette Wilkinson Sword DE Blade. I don't know where it was manufactured, but I do know these are not as smooth as a Gillette Wilkinson Sword DE Blade. It's why I selected the MicroTouch because it's a mild razor.
    Did 3 error-free passes for a BBS result.

    However, I was surprised that I got plenty of feedback on my neck. I figure that with more uses on this blade that it will tone down.
    Anyway, I went with the PAA/King R Emporium SS that Joe generously gave me because of it's slickness. Here is my lather:

    Finished this session with the witch hazel and aftershave treatment. Take care.

    Excellent shave Gary. Do you prefer the blue over the green seven o'clock blades?

    Thanks for that info Joe, I remember there being a post somewhere about the adapters now that you mention it, but had forgotten about it. The razors come up for sale and are not too rare therefore, but it sounds like a hassle so I think I will stick my Schicks

    I do like the 37C, I spent the week with Kai blades in it, so maybe that has something to do with it. Don't mind the extra weight on a razor, long handles can be a bit of challenge in certain areas, but overall it was a good experience

    Thanks Barrry

    :), about time I did that
    :)

    thanks Gary

    1 Days growth

    10 Nov 2024.jpg

    Time to try something new

    Usual Prep and Preshave = Faulding’s shave cream
    Soap = Lea, new puck refill, interested to see how this turns out
    Brush = Pura Setola for the hard soap
    Bowl = White plastic
    Razor = No 66 Gillette birth year Aristocrat
    Blade = Kai day 3
    Passes = lost count, just kept going till I was done
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayers rose petal
    ASL = Fine Latigo
    Scent = Guerlain Pour Homme
    Damage = none

    Very enjoyable shave with this new (to me) combo. The Lea did well, similar slickness to the Razorock or better. Easy to lather. Not drying. Very little scent to my nose, which is fine

    The Aristocrat did well, I felt I could get closer and smoother than with the 37C, especially in some of the tricky areas
    ATG both sides of cheeks towards the ears, superb part BBS shave. The lower neck and adams apple area turned out good as well

    Alum was silent. Nivea balm and Fine Latigo for a fine start to a Sunday

    Hope your weekends all turn out fine
