    Thank you Chris. The vast majority of my shave line ups are inexpensive but always provide me with close comfortable shaving results.

    Awesome tribute shave Barry. In the US, we celebrate Veterans Day tomorrow. I haven't decided on setup to honor those who served.

    Much better shave this morning, mainly due to correcting the North Porcupine Alley problem of yesterday. It can be a little dangerous to go South to North with the razor up there, for fear of a noggin cut, but if the result can be a better shave, you want to take that chance. Clean and clear everywhere else. One pass. Good job again with the Bill Neumann aftershave(Signature 1907). I have to say this about Bill Neumann-I've been on his mailing list for many years and haven't seen an e-mail from them. But for them I'll wait. Maybe a holiday discount, fellas? Any current news, comments? Anyway, for today's shave it's As Outstanding As It Gets.

    Thank you Joe. What ever the shave setup you decide to use it'll be a fitting tribute to honour those who served.

    Fellas, I need your help. The other day I was looking at shave soaps from a company that features U.S. Presidents(Lincoln, Jackson, Eisenhower, JFK, Grant, among others). ). The senior in me can't recall the artisan company name.They do soaps amd aftershaves. Someone recently used and listed one of these soaps. I'm ready to make a purchase on the Eisenhower one. What's the artisan name please?

    1 Days growth

    Same again : Lea soap; Pura Setola; Razor = No 66 Gillette birth year Aristocrat; Blade = Kai day 4; Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayers rose petal
    ASL = Imperial leather
    Scent = Guerlain Pour Homme
    Damage = none
    Passes: only 2 were needed after yesterdays smooth shave

    I did 80 swirls with the bristle brush on the puck and used 6 cc water. Way too much lather. I reckon I could get away with 40 swirls and 3 cc of water

    Have a great Monday one and all

    You know what they say Barry about technique trumping tools, you have yours down pat!

    Thanks Joe, it was a good shave
    Thanks Gary. Does a Gillette super stainless made in Australia qualify as a spoiler or is that something else again

    Thanks Gary

    yes,your super stainles blades are vintage gillettes like the spoiler,certain markets used the spoiler name for marketing. as far as i know the only blades that are different are the 1970's Platinum Plus blades..

    Thank you Gary....y'know, as for Bill Neumann, I'm leaning towards his 1911 offering...may get some more from "that year".
