I went with my Fatboy for a nice, quick easy shave. I decided to set it on 6. I have never gone that low because I usually have it on 8 or 9 and sometimes 7. On setting 6, the aggressiveness was tamed, but it was still efficient. Three passes and some buffing gave me a BBS result without any oopsies.

Went with the Captain's Choice shaving soap and loaded the brush from the buck and did a face lather. Hence, there isn't a lather pic. I really hydrated the soap so it was very thin, but oh so slick. The alum was silent. Splashed on the witch hazel and the wonderful matching aftershave to finish this shave. Take care.

Fabulous Bay Rum shave with the vintage Gillette Blue Tip razor. When I picked up this razor several years ago I was not impressed with the first several shaves. However, with adjustment to the angle, I have been rewarded with super close shaves consistently. Today was no exception. Theee passes to super smoothness. The scent of the soap and splash were perfect for this crisp Famm day.

Great shave and setup Joe. I had the same experience shaving with the Van der Hagen Razor. Once I changed the angle to a steeper one, then the shave was much better.
