    good morning gents
    second use of the french 'crat jr
    swapped the wilkinson blade out for a vintage gillette super silver
    yesterday's shave was great but lacked a little smoothness
    wilkinson blades are a yardstick blade for me with any new to me razor.
    ***
    fabulous seville lather built with the yaqi ruby
    smooth 2 passer with the 'crat jr/ss combo,minor pick ups
    still a very vocal razor,more so that my last one ..fine by me..:)
    shulton old spice to finish
    awesome
    have a fine day everyone

  4. Wonderful shave Danny. I believe Lakewood is going out of business. It's a shame because it's a fine soap.

  7. Thank you Gary-if Shulton's OS has a smaller pour spout, I want Shulton to buy back OS from P&G, as I said. Course in this day and age of "Shave Product Change", probably won't happen.

  12. 22 Nov 2024

    2 Days growth

    Usual Prep and Preshave = Faulding’s shave cream, one or 2 days left
    Soap = Cyril R Salter Solid shaving soap
    Brush = Pura Setola
    Bowl = White plastic
    Razor = No 77 (3rd outing)
    Blade 1 = Vintage Gillette super stainless (5) right side
    Blade 2 = Vintage Schick (2) left side
    Passes = 3 full passes
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayers rose petal, Nivea balm
    ASL = Imperial Leather
    Scent = Guerlain Pour Homme
    Score = 9.5/10 for end result

    Damage = None

    Light touch, really riding the cap, better overall shave. Still really needs focus but does help hone technique. However the shave took a bit longer than I would like

    The Vintage Gillette felt smoother, the Schick actually felt better today, but overall still a challenging shave

    I will park this razor for a while and come back to it later :)

    Hope you all have a great weekend ahead

  15. Another nice job with my Old Spice dupes, for Friday.. Soap jumped onto the brush for a strong setup of a clean, clear shav all over. No cuts, Knicks, Polka-Dots, Red Ball Sunsets anywhere. 2 passes. I was a bit more careful in avoiding a Niagra Falls with the aftershave, but not quite 100%, as I still got a little too much out for Cactus Nation(neck)application. Ahhh well. Super Duper Oiutstanding.

  16. awesome Chris.these razors were state of the art for the day..(1932 up) with carbon steel blades.your razor was also available with a heavier fat handle..not making excuses of course..;)..and again,trying to match a 66 is hard..:)
