    Good evening.

    1968 Gillette Slim Adjustable (9)
    Voskhod DE Blade (4)
    Semogue OC Super Badger Brush
    PAA/King R Emporium SS
    TSD Irish Spring SS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Personal Care Witch Hazel
    Beard Growth: 33 hrs

    20241207_185708.jpg

    Went with a quick 3 pass shave. The result was an error-free BBS shave. Decided to go with the PAA/King R Emporium SS to try to use it up. I think I will continue to use it until it finally is Fitzgerald.
    It means no lather pics for awhile because I will face lather from the puck. In any event, I got a nice slick lather that made my shave much easier. There was some tolerable Alum feedback. Splashed on the witch hazel and the TSD Irish Spring aftershave to end this session. Take care.

    PS. I thought that I fixed my door problem with this razor.

    20241207_185808~2.jpg

    I was trying to figure out why the door would slide off the tiny interior post for many years. I decided to close the door and tap the green area on the side of my counter and was able to open and close the doors without a problem. However, during the shave, the problem came back and repeated the banging in that area. Fingers crossed, it worked, but for how long who knows. The good thing is that I can live with it because if it happens again, then I will just repeat the solution.

    1 Days growth

    08 Dec 2024 1200 100.jpg
    Soap = Saponificio Varesino
    Brush = Semogue Pegasus C7 finest badger 2 band. Day 4 I think: it has lost its animalia scent and earlier habit of staining of the pre-soak water. Same as my other Semogue, it can hold a lot of lather and tends to leak out from the knot if you press too hard, so it’s more of a painter than a splayer

    Razor = 1958 No 66
    Blade = Derby Premium (1)
    Passes = 2 +++ as needed
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayers rose petal, Nivea balm
    ASL = Imperial leather No 1
    Scent = Guerlain pour homme EdP, It still interests me that the scent has changed since I first used this around 2 years ago. Maybe I should shake it more before use
    Score = 9.9 / 10
    Damage = none. The alum spoke up loudly, esp. in the areas of ATG, reflecting the need to apply a bit pressure and do lots of buffing with this smooth blade

    Outstanding start to a sunny day in Perth

    Have a super Sunday wherever you find yourself today!

    I understand. However, it's a triple-milled soap so you will get a lot more shaves which it. I have also heard that the brand is mildly scented.

    Greetings,

    A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

    The vast majority of my shave set ups are very in-expensive, today proved to me yet again that I can always get pleasurable shaves from traditional wet shaving accessories that don't cost the earth...The Dorco Prime platinum pair wonderfully with my mild razors.

    The humble grated Palmolive classic shave stick provides a superb protective lather.

    Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Boots Cucumber Moisturising Lotion.

    My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.;)

    Keep safe, and enjoy your Sunday ladies & gentlemen.:cool:

    Wonderful Sunday shave. 0:40 at the Loading Dock, as this soap really doesn't require the minute's time(as suggested by a member here). Goose eggs on the cuts, Knicks, Polka-Dots, Red Ball Sunset persuasion. 2 passes. Good finish with the Paul Sebastian A.S. No cologne today. As Outstanding As It Gets.

    December 8 SOTA Headshave

    Good afternoon.

    Mühle R102
    Suneko Amorphous Diamond DE Blade (2)
    JR #290 Cashmere Brush
    PAA/King R Emporium SS
    TSD Irish Spring AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Personal Care Witch Hazel
    Dome Turf: 3.2 days

    20241208_152509.jpg

    I needed to look presentable for church tonight so I did a headshave. I didn't need a face shave because it's been less than 24 hrs and I still look acceptable. Three error-free passes gave me a cueball finish. As I mentioned yesterday, I did a head lather off the puck so no pic and that will continue until I finish this soap. I did not have any alum feedback on the dome so that's always a good thing. Applied the witch hazel and the TSD Irish Spring aftershave and I am good to go. Take care.
