Sunday Schick Shave, December 7th 2024

Razor :Stick Schick L type theme series. Mfg 1973, mild range. Very light and a pleasure to use, brings back memories.
Blade :SChick(2) sharp and smooth with great longevity.
Soap : Razorock XXX Fresco, nice scented fresh, mentholated with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Artic sky" 24mm synthetic knot. Very nice soft face feel knot with great handle.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock XXX Fresco with witch Hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBS + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable shave this morning with my Stick Schick injector L type with a SChick blade.

The PSC Caffeinated Shaving Cream lathered well with the SlimGem 3D Printed Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Supply SE Injector razor and the Supply Black Label Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Mennen After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Thank you Jeff...Before the discontinuation of them in the UK I bought 10 sticks from my local supermarket for 50p /63 cents each. Now I've seen some one selling two sticks on e-Bay UK for £38.95p/ $49.73 cents!. Which is complete exploitation and "extracting the urine "pardon my choice of words... The same exploitation happened with Williams shaving mug soap after it was discontinued. The Palmolive Classic stick is my all time favourite shave soap, and I'm very fortunate to have a back up of sticks which will last me for some years...

ASRazor shave, MicroMatic Monday, December 9th 2024

Razor : Star bar #4 lather catcher. Mfg 1919-20. Excellent folding knowledge for that time period. One of my best performing ASR razors with a fresh Gem blade. Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE(1) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Razorock XXX Fresco, nice scented soap with some menthol + excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Mountain lake" 24mm 2band badger, very enjoyable badger brush for my general shaving needs, Hard to beat the face feel and performance.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock XXX Fresco splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning with my Star bar #4 with a coated Gem blade. I have gotten more BBs shaves with razor than other razors I use but still not overly aggressive(perfection) for my hand technique.

My face is so frozen from this setup - the Glacial Mango Sunrise soap not only lathers great and freezes like Siberia in midwinter it smells so beautiful. The Stoffel balm from Bundubeard has a wonderful peppermint scent, it’s icy cold, and it’s so soothing. Finally the Northern Elixir aftershave went on frigidly with its nice peppermint/eucalyptus scent. I couldn’t for a better shave - three passes did the job for me!
