Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Pears Transparent bar Soap.
Brush: Omega 10066.
Bowl Lather.
Bowl: Tesco's Ceramic 'Cosmo' Side Bowl.
Lather: Proraso Sensitive shaving cream.
Blade: Dorco Prime Platinum. (D2)
Razor: Baili BD177 Rose Gold TTO.

Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's,/Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Benjamin's mentholated bay rum. /L'0REAL Soothing Birch Sap PSB.

The Proraso Sensitive Soap always provides me with slick protective lather leaving an equally good post shave feel.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of L'0REAL Soothing Birch Sap PSB.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

My usual post treatment

Alum was negligible

Superb smooth feather shave

Finished off with some Proraso Cypress and Vetiver Cologne to subdue the Derby

Great start to a relaxing Sunday

Let me say I like that name(oh I just DID say that)

 

Today's shave(15) was real nice. I dunked the Gillette can into the hot tap water and came out with a cloud of foam. GOOD. Clean and clear all over. One pass. Nice work from the TSD Russian Leather aftershave. May it be said that Chiseled Face Midnight Stag is Russian Leather on steroids???? Anyway, the shave was As Outstanding As It Gets.

I was going to bring out Artie, but decided to use the same setup as Friday's shave.
Again, I only needed 2 passes to give me A BBS result. I would say that this shave was virtually error-free despite getting the most miniscule weep on my stache area. It happened on my last placement of the razor when I landed incorrectly. I knew it because I felt that sting from the edge. It was ever so slight because of my very light pressure using a shavette. Hit it wit cold water and alum and it disappeared without a trace.
Alum was silent. Finished with Witch hazel and the fine Pinaud-Clubman Classic aftershave. Take care.

 

Terrific setup and shave Barry. I need to use my Omega Pro 49 on my next shave.

 

Thanks Chris. Feathers are great blades. Shavers needn't be afraid of using them. I bet when you started wetshaving that using a Feather blade was not going to be in your den. However, you improved your technique that you can use one. There are those shavers that can't shave with a DE razor using a Feather without cutting themselves so you're ahead of the curve. Heck, there are some people that cut themselves with cartridges. Anyway, great minds do think alike.

 

Two Feather shaves in a row. We definitely are like minded. Lol! Great shave Chris.
