Great Sunday shave, Barry! I always find your reports interesting because a lot of the products you use don't seem to make it "across the Pond" to my neck of the woods.

Thank you John. Vice versa on a lot of the products that I see in the forum members shave set ups that aren't available on my side of the pond. My shave set ups are very eclectic which work for me.

Well, it's become painfully(no pun intended)clear that my chin area(S. Porcupine Alley)has become the most sensitive shaving spot of my body. I developed some redness there again this morning. No pain, it just happened. I tend to spend more time shaving there than any other spot, and I don't know why. Thankfully no damage anywhere else. The Razorock Synthetic brush put more soap on my face and neck than yesterday's Boar, but I guess it takes a long time for Boars to settle in and become One with the areas to be shaved. For that matter, I find that the Strike Gold Shave(any of them, I'd imagine)takes a while to be One with said areas. That's OK, I suppose. It's worth the wait. The skin softness comes first, then the scent. 2 passes. Again, a bit of a struggle to pour out the SGS aftershave, but how nice my face and neck feel when it finally happens. Did anyone read(and make sense of)my post saying that a Nick Shaves reviewer felt the KENNEDY Strike Gold Shave was the best he(Kennedy)had ever used? This Ike/Kennedy thing has become an ongoing investigation. All I know for now is that the Ike product features Eight And Bob, which was one of JFK's favorites, and now the Nick Shaves reviewer calls "Kennedy" the best JFK has used. Did JFK like another one, in addition to Eight And Bob? Yeah, I know....confusing until I can sort out this baby. As for today's shave, As Outstanding As It Gets.

I haven't use this razor since March so it was time to shave with it. Three error-free passes gave me a smooth and comfortable shave.
I went with the Stirling Tsuka because it's been awhile since I used it as well.
    Here's my lather:

The alum was silent and finished with the witch hazel and the matching splash. I smell clean and refreshed. Take care.

Thanks, Gary. Always good to know for future reference. Fendrihan has had a Sandalwood & Lavender scent in the lineup for years that I have often considered. However, I see the current soaps are made in the Netherlands, so they have switched to a different manufacturer.

Probably still excellent quality though - Fendrihan's house brand stuff is generally good.

Note for all the "furriners" in the 30DC: Fendrihan is one of the main Canadian on-line shaving supply dealers. Actually, I think it's the biggest and also carries a lot of men's non-shaving toiletries, personal supplies and "gadgets". (Anybody want a pocketknife made from steel from the German WW2 battleship "Tirpitz"? Fendrihan offers them - for a measly $1000 or so...)

:):eatdrink047:my "lemon soda" soap may well have been made in the Netherlands also..again it was a distant memory of their soap description.

DE Shave # 576 - DEcember Shave - RR Game Changer .84 “JAWS”

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: RazoRock GC .84 JAWS
Blade: Suneko Amorphous Diamond SS (1)
Brush: Shore Shave Creamsicle Swirl 24 mm White Synthetic
    Lather: Barrister & Mann Nordost
    Aftershave: B & M Nordost
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Wonderful three pass shave this morning. The “JAWS” DE came out to play and did a masterful job. The end result was an extremely close shave without any mishaps.

The B & M soap is a top tier soap that does not disappoint in latherability, glissade and scent.

Hope you all have had an enjoyable Sunday.
