Thanks John. I enjoy my 6C and the original Model T version. I never had a bad shave with them. I primarily use these razors for headshaves. I like the vintage razors, too. Every shaver gravitates to a specific type of razor. In my case, I am glad that I can enjoy all types of razors. Of course, my preference are straights and shavettes.
Great Xmas eve shave Troy, nice to be clean shaven again no doubt Thanks Barry, I might see if I can find some in the New Years sales department somewhere, since it comes so highly recommended Another masterful 2 passer as we have come to expect from you Gary ! Lovely colours Lovely run up to Xmas Joe, I see you are another Suneko fan

25 Dec 2024 Early post today, I had planned and prepped my shave the day before on Christmas Eve Up at 5 am with some cooler weather at last 2 Days growth Gillette Tuckaway. Bolzano (2). Christmas Eve. TOBS Royal Forest. Rinfrescante. Prada Ocean Luna Rossa Super smooth, no red stuff was spilt I am glad to say, the alum was silent, i am all set for the day ahead 9+/10
Thanks Chris. I do like those blades. A former member, Jeff from PA recommended them, but Joe C piffed a tuck to me awhile back during our monthly breakfast.
So it was just hand / bath soap for the first 40 or 50 years? Huh! I didn't know that. Mind you, even that comparatively "recent" start at making shaving soap was still 45 years ago... Oh well, we still have both Haslinger and Stirling that make shave soaps with lanolin in them. Very good ones too ... that are very easy to lather...
Very nice shave setup, Chris. Good photo of it too. I have a tub of TOBS Royal Forest. Lovely fall apple orchard scent and, of course, the usual great TOBS performance. My tub of shave cream has been rapidly becoming a tub of croap, but both the scent and the performance remain unaffected.
and we were lucky enough to experience mwf in it's(mostly) original form....unlike old spice ,yardley's,and older soaps..well for me anyhow..

Christmas Day Shave of the Morning Good afternoon. Straight Razor Shave # 595 Henckels Friodur MrEE LE #10 Cashmere Brush Music City Suds Lavender and Ever Amen SS and AS Stirling Alum Block Personal Care Witch Hazel Beard Growth: 48 hrs Did a three pass shave that was close. However, I got 2 nicks on my neck; one on my left and the other on my right. I haven't gotten two nicks with a straight in ages. Actually, I don't remember if I ever did. Lol! The good thing is they won't leave any scars because they were superficial wounds. I face-lathered instead of bowl-lathering. I sometimes don't wring out the brush and use the slushy soap as a preshave and then add a lot more soap to give me a nice, creamy, but thin lather. That's what I did for this session. Finished the shave with my usual routine. The alum didn't sting or zing. The witch hazel and the aftershave was very soothing. Merry Christmas to you guys!
