Wonderful MMOC shave this morning. Treated myself to an outstanding lather with this DG/CL collaboration. This combination is no longer being produced. The scent, one of the longest lasting in my dens, is described as follows:
“ Lamplight Penance the collision of two worlds: the sweet scent of peaches, berries and daffodils waft through the attic window as the oil lamp burns and Henri forlornly remembers the frontier life that he left behind”

speaking of "Jillette January", I decided to honor it by using Gillette Foamy for my canned shaves this month. We'll see about June and/or July. On other months, I'll rotate Proraso back in.

Outstanding shave and congratulations on closing in on 1200. I will be rapidly approaching my 1500 open blade shave sometime in early March. My approach is different to yours as a significant majority of the open blade shaves are with my straights. At this configuration, I will not approach my 1000th Shavette shave until the number 5,000. Probably by my 84th birthday at the current et rate of around 30-35 Shavette shaves per year.

 

Since it is a sample, one shave left with no intentions of picking up another.

Awesome SV shave Gary. Years ago, when I first fell into this rabbit hole, I was tempted to pick up an SV soap. Now I am I den reduction mode. Perhaps one day.
