    1 Days growth

    Hot water Prep and Preshave = Proraso Wood and Spice
    Cream = Proraso Wood and Spice
    Brush = Pura Setola
    Bowl = Timeless
    Razor = Gillette Rocket HD
    Blade = Gillette Platinum Day 2
    Passes = 2 +
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayers rose petal
    Scent = Proraso Wood and Spice Cologne
    Score = 9.9 / 10
    Damage = None

    Super lazy Sunday Shave. The PR Wood and Spice cream is a bit thick coming out of the weird packaging, and performs OK. I squeezed out about an inch from the container, more than needed, so next time will use less. Lathers up OK, but not the slickest. Nice enough overall scent from the Cologne, though. Not PR best shave cream/soap in my opinion

    Think I might want to drag out different proraso this week sometime to make a better comparison

    Have a great Sunday!

    Well, all goood streaks must come to an end someday. Everything was real good with it until I got to S. Porcupine(chin) during the 1st of my 2 passes. I hit a speedbump, and the red stuff came out. I set it up real well down there with the paint job from the Stoylin brush, now it was up to me to do the shave. Didn't succeed. The cold water rinse and A.S.(Pages) helped a little, but in the end I'll just have to go very easy tomorrow(course tomorrow I'll have a different atsenal, but thst shouldn't matter, this was a technique(or lack thereof)job . But as I say, all went well everywhere else. Fairly Outstanding.

    Jillette January

    Razor - Gillette Aristocrat
    Blade - rapira-platinum-lux.jpg (3)
    Soap - Proraso White
    Brush - West Coast Shaving Synthetic
    Finish - Pinaud Virgin Island Bay Rum

    Shaving a bit earlier than normal today as I swing back onto nights. My plan is to shave in the mornings when I get home, so shaving mid-day today will have me in the right spot tomorrow. Same razor today, the Aristocrat, and the same Rapira PL blade. On the third shave it's showing a bit of wear but still definitely a good shave. I always found this blade to start showing its age by shave #3. So nothing unexpected there. Also a reason it didn't make my top 3 blades list. Changed Proraso from green to white. This is the version for sensitive skin and has less of a scent than either the green or red. I've used this soap very rarely, but it provides the classic Proraso lather so works fine. The West Coast brush had no issues.

    Finished three passes, threw on some Bay Rum and now off to enjoy the remainder of my weekend, which ends at 8pm tonight. Hope you all have a great Sunday!
