Master Soap Creations Vintage Spice is still sold out at Pasteur's. Meanwhile I asked them to let me know when their "Kennedy" of Strike Gold is back.

    Thanks Joe,

Yup, it's one those squeezy bag things, from a wholesaler to the trade. Never did see one of those dispensers before. I see them listed online here as sold out and AUD 159.00. Bit silly! The "shaving cream" is quite thick and hard to squeeze out, might be on the list of things to donate to the op shops. Oh well.

    Really cool set up Gary.

Very good shave this morning. The brush swirling was a success, as it got a lot of the Ike soap on. It's a great scent, featuring the Eight&Bob. No problems on S. Porcupine today, but some slight trouble along the sideburns/jawlines. 2 passes, the second of which helped erase an issue on the right cheek. The Ike aftershave was good, although I should have used a little more. Pretty Outstanding.

    Good morning.

    Shavette Shave #603
    Dovo
Feather Hi Stainless 1/2 DE Blade (6)
    MrEE LE #10 Cashmere Brush
Music City Suds Lavender SS and AS
    Stirling Alum Block
    Beard Growth: 43 hrs

Did a 3 pass error-free shave with a BBS ending. I decided that I didn't want to push the blade beyond 6 uses so I banked it at the end of this shave. Had minimal alum feedback. Splashed on the aftershave and I am ready to face the world. Take care.

    Jillette January

    Razor - 1959 Gillette Tech
    Blade - rapira-super-stainless.jpg (1)
Soap - Stirling 2018 Fair Debonaire St. Louis
    Brush - Stirling Synthetic
Finish - Stirling 2018 Fair Debonaire St. Louis

I've rotated around to morning shaves which are actually evening shaves for me. Working 3rd shift definitely makes life interesting in trying to determine what's morning, evening, and everything in between. I started off the new routine with a great Gillette razor, the 1959 Tech. I don't think there's ever been a more successful, yet simple, design in a razor. When you go back through the history of Gillette razors the simple three-piece razor was always a workhorse. While the early versions were aggressive beasts, the Tech became a milder version of the same design that simply does what it's supposed to do.

I paired the razor with the Rapira Super Stainless in the pink blue and black wrapper. This was always the least expensive of the Rapira line of blades, but it is definitely not lacking in performance. I was pleasantly surprised the first time I used these blades and have over 100 of them in my private stock of Russians. They are a no-frills option when choosing a Russian for a few shaves.

I went back to the Stirling 2018 Fair Debonaire soap I received in St. Louis at the 2018 Fair Debonaire. I love, love, love this soap and it's aftershave, and the best part is you can still get it. It's called Haverford and I just bought a full puck and A/S to go with it. Fantastic lather and scent, and the Stirling Synthetic whipped it up nicely.

Three passes, fantastic relaxing shave and I'll be off to dreamland soon still inhaling that wonderful vanilla and tobacco flower scent. Mmmmm, Mmmmmm, good! Enjoy your Monday!

I liked Moon Soaps Havana and that also has a tobacco/ vanilla scent so I may get Stirling's Haverford on my next order.
