The Tabac Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #144 Two-band Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Fatip Grande razor and the PolSilver DE Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Tabac After Shave. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

Razor : Star bar #4 lather catcher, Mfg 1919-20, mild to tame mid range. Beautiful design, excellent stamping and precision placement of blade stops + easy design to install blade. My favorite SE razor when it comes to results combined with my technique. This razor works excellent with a fresh Gem blade or very few shaves has been my experiences.
Blade : Gem Personna SS PTFE (2) very sharp, excellent longevity, smooths out nicely, predictable + safest blade to handle.
Soap : Razorock Emperor, nice distinct linear cologne scent with excellent lather qualities.
Brush : Yaqi "Cola" 22 mm plissoft type knot. Very enjoyable brush with some back bone to work the lather + painting lather.
Pre shave : (Dedicated Cashmere synthetic)Brush wash whole face with CeraVe hand bar cleanser with a dollop of clear Aloe Vera on the cleaned beard area.
Prep : Cold water rinse after each pass of 2 + pickups. WTG + ATG + pickups.
Post shave : Razorock Emperor splash with witch hazel + a dollop of CeraVe moisturizing lotion(scentless).
Results : or CCS,DFS,BBs + no irritation + no weepers= Had a close comfortable stellar shave this morning with my Star bar #4 lather catcher with a coated Gem blade.

How do you like SG's Honest Abe? I have Ike, but am confused because it features a scent loved by Kennedy, and of course SG HAS a Kennedy.

Honest Abe has a pleasant, not overpowering scent and has a rich easy lather. I like it.

The temperature here in Montreal is presently -13 Celsius with a windchill of -21 and it’s snowing heavily so what better setup is there than my dear brother Abir’s Absolute Zero soap and aftershave? It takes a hopelessly addicted menthol freak like myself to use stuff like this - the scent is so nice - it’s aquatic with minty notes, the soap is vegan based, it lathers like a champ, it’s so slick, the menthol sensation is totally off the charts, and it’s so gentle on sensitive skin. The aftershave balm has the same scent, it’s very soothing as well as moisturizing, and the Snake Bite splash took the freeze to another level. Finally the magnificent Bleu de Chanel fragrance and I’m good to go. Three passes gave me a helluva great BBS shave that I enjoyed from start to finish!

Wow...what a great shave today! Was it my new Proraso Professional Brush? I don't know, but it sure scooped up a lot of the Ike soap during both passes. Clean, clear shave all around. No damage. The horror of South Porcupine Alley(from a few days ago)is gone. Nice finish from the Ike A.S. See ya next time, 34th POTUS. As Outstanding As It Gets.
