fine fat shave Chris.:bounce017:.fat can be finicky, but builds a fine lather if you are patient.though compared to today's instantly exploding lathers, many folks give up.it lathers fine for me(soft water) and lathers better the longer one uses the puck in a row..haven't tried the most recent non tallow version and to be honest not bothered that it's now gone.;):eatdrink047:

    Soap - Stirling Black Ice
Brush - West Coast Shaving Synthetic

Almost identical setup from yesterday. Just changed the brush. The ring of death is starting to break up good so only a few more shaves on this sample puck then it will be done. The synthetic produced a great lather, and I had two passes without any problems. My memory for the pain sticks is returning quite fast and I'm enjoying the feel of the shaves as much as the result. Have a great Hump Day!

Did a 3 pass shave that was close and comfortable, but got a weep on my right neck. This razor needs to be honed on my lapping board because I got a weep in the same spot the last time with this razor. It must be that there is a micro dull spot between 2 sharp spots on the edge that is repeating the problem. Oh well, I guess I have some homework or should I say honework. Lol.

Anyway, I went with my only citrus scented soap to start the day on a high note. Here's my lather.

The alum was silent, except for the the area with the weep. Of course, I wasn't surprised. Lol. Splashed on that wonderful matching aftershave to finish this session. Take care.

I found my new Pivot DisposeABLE razors! They are called "Blade"...a clone of Gillette Sensor Deuce(which I'd been using). CVS distributes Blade. Sorry @brit, looks like CVS got rid of the Gillette Sensor Deuce ones. I'll see if Walgreen's has them. Meanwhile I think these "Blades" will work fine.

thanks Gary. I have ignored the fat for too long and will spend more time with it Feb, keeping it zip locked to stop it drying out. Looking forward to the next fat shave

    Sounds and looks great

Good shave Joe, that Limoncello is on my short list, if I could justify more soaps...Lol!

Thanks Chris. If you get it, you won't be disappointed. It's a very soft soap so that you can use your finger to scoop it out.
