    Razor - Fatip Piccolo
    Blade - sharp-star.jpg (3)
    Soap - El Caballero (3017)
    Brush - Semogue 1305 Boar

Saturday schedule today. Came home from work, hit the bed for a few hours, back up to spend my "day off" with my wife. And grocery shopping and other things. Yay. Anyway, grabbing a quick shave for the day with the Fatip and Sharp Star again. El Caballero on the 3017 attempt using my Semogue 1305 today. Nice lather and two passes and now to see how long I can stay awake before my Saturday night crash. Don't tell me life isn't fun!

Planning to spend some computer time consolidating all of my razor/shaving pictures and other stuff. I have managed to recover a ton of photos from past years. Now to organize them and get them up on the cloud where they'll be safe and sound forever. Have a great Saturday!

Thanks John. I am spending some time with it in Feb, I like the soap, but as you say it's hard work. I will stick at it. Trouble is I have a few pucks in storage. Oh dear. I need to get to like this more

    Grazie, Joe

great shave and setup again Barry, I see you are a Nivea ambassador Lol! How do you rate the cream in relation to others?

I do like the look of that brush!

Thank you Chris...I do carry the flag for Nivea products. How do I rate the shave cream to others?.. In a nutshell I find it on par with Proraso creams. It has a mild scent, easy lather, great slickness and cushion, makes a great uber lather with the WS soap bowl the glycerin in both the soap & cream makes the lather explode! and Just feels good to use.

I have tried both the regular (blue tube) & the sensitive (White tube) It's a good solid performer, and has a non-descript scent which pairs with any post shave applications. give it a try if it's available in Oz.

Better shave than yesterdaay for the simole reason that I dunked the can under the tap to moisten it prior to the shave. I should do that A:WAYS with canned shaves. Clean and clear all over. No damage anywhere. One pass. Quite good fior a Super Bowl Sunday. As Outstanding As It Gets.

    Razor - Muhle R41
    Blade - voskhod-teflon-coated.jpg (1)
    Soap - El Caballero
    Brush - Jayaruh JR#456

Sunday morning shave and it was a beauty. Grabbed the Muhle R41, a razor with a lot of legend of aggressiveness around it. Honestly, it's a heavy razor, at 86 grams, has a fairly shallow blade angle and a lot of exposure. For someone who hasn't yet perfected technique I can see this being a bit intimidating. And for those who prefer milder shaves I wouldn't necessarily recommend it. For those of us who don't mind some extra blade feel and can hold angles it does a really nice job. The weight of the razor gives it a solid feel and I enjoy using it.

The Voskhod was smooth as silk today. I plan to run it three shaves so hopefully it won't dud like my last one. The El Caballero is still my soap as I'm trying to run it out and the JR456 was awesome to use. Glad I adopted it.

Two passes and a bit of touch up and it was off to the shower to do my weekly head shave with the Merkur 23C and Astra blade. The dome is chromed. Great way to spend a Sunday morning.

SRS # 1235 - Sample Soap Sunday - Van Yulay House of Dior

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: FA Clauberg CopperKing 6/8
Brush: MrEE Limited Edition #017 Cashmere 24 mm
Lather: Van Yulay SoTG House of Dior
    Aftershave: Floïd Genuine Vigoroso
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum
    Dickenson’s Original Witch Hazel
    Stirling Unscented Glacial Balm

Given the current weather overnight I think
my Ginger’s Garden Snow Bliss would have been more appropriate for this morning’s shave. However, I decided to remain consistent with my Sample Soap Sunday theme.

The Van Yulay SoTG House of Dior presented a nice slick lather with a not overpowering scent. Good for all occasions when you don’t want to draw to much attention to yourself. The scent description is as follows: “Bright, masculine freshness combines with sophistication and nonchalance to create a fresh Bergamot Pink Pepper, Netmeg, Iris, Heliotrope, yet deep and mysterious scent with notes of cardamom, Amber, Cedar, and Coumarin—a structure of contrasting forces.”

The FA Clauberg straight delivered an exceptionally close and error free shave which received the SWBO SOA.

My shoveling chores were taken care of this morning. I am refreshed with the plan of relaxing all day and enjoying the big game later today.

    Have a great day gentlemen.
