    Shaving Recipe for today.

    Prep: Warm shower:/Cien Men Energize Shower Gel.

    Pre:
    Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
    Wrights Coal Tar bar Soap.
    Brush: Wilkinson Sword Synthetic.
    Bowl Lather.
    Bowl: Ikea Kalas Side Bowl.
    Lather: Pears Transparent bar Soap + Wilkinson Sword Soap Bowl.
    Blade: Wilkinson Sword Classic. (D1)
    Razor: Wilkinson Sword Premium TTO.

    Post:
    Cold water face & head wash with brush squeezing's,/Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./Alum Rub./Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel/Alum Rub./Brut Original ASL./Bulldog Original Moisturiser.

    (Face & Head Shave)

    A new eclectic shave set up to start the Weekend. Everything in my shave set up worked together superbly this morning. Both the Wilkinson Sword TTO & matching blade performed wonderfully.
    The WS premium TTO razor I find more efficient to the King C Gillette, that said, I find the King C Gillette razor more comfortable to use especially for head shaving.

    Another close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report.

    Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Bulldog Original Moisturiser. A wonderful post shave application for the winter elements.

    My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.;)

    Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.:cool:

    Interesting housekeeping tips!
    Since aquiring a few older razors and having given them a good clean, I have seldom done the deep cleaning you chaps describe. I do however use a toothbrush daily to clean up the razor and blade. If I plan to put the razor aside for a while I will use some mild toothpaste to clean up most of the residue. Some soaps like Proraso tend to leave more scum than others. I better up my game then!

    at least for my collection,when i acquired tthem they were in really nice condition,though needed a good cleanung.i am just a time keeper,these sets will last beyond me if i maintain them properly..;)

    Soap = MWF, The Fat came to the party today :bounce017:
    Brush = Omega EVO synthetic
    Bowl = face lathering
    Razor = Gillette Slim I4 @4 then 6 to finish up with
    Blade = Personna (4)
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayer's rose petal, Nivea Balm
    ASL = Imperial Leather
    Scent = English leather cologne splash
    Score = 9.9 / 10 superb start to the Saturday

    To quote Barry: Everything in my shave set up worked together superbly this morning:D

    Same process..............................
    Used a bit more RO water to bloom the fat than before. Let it stand while I did the face prep
    Hot water prep. T&H No 10 as preshave. Rinsed off
    Quickly dipped the brush in RO water, shook and squeezed dry
    The Fat had a small layer or lanolin or whatever on top. Left it there and loaded up 100 swirls from the puck, wet the face and lathered away. Only needed to dip the brush once more to get this nice and slick. It seems better to only use the knot of the brush to massage the beard for a short while and then just use the tips for the final painting. Turned out to be really good lather. I am getting a little better at this. The brush ‘works’ or ‘feels’ very different with the MWF than the boars, at least more so than I have noticed with other soaps

    I still find that towards the end of each pass it helps to lather up the last bits again. I have found this with other soaps too including Stirling

    2 passes and touch ups, then to the back of the neck

    The blade needed more strokes per area to achieve the desired result indicating it was time to bin this. 4 days isn’t bad for me with one blade

    MWF 0 + 0 + 1 +0.5 + 1 +1 + 0.5 + 1
    Sterling 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1

    Shavette Shave # 246

    Rating: 5 / 5

    Razor: Parker SRX
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue
    Brush: Ever Ready 200T
    Lather: Wholly Kaw King of Oud
    Aftershave: Wholly Kaw King of Oud
    Additional Care:
    Omega Alum

    Excellent Shavette shave this morning. I took two almond size KoO soap with me for this trip as the march towards the Edmund Fitzgerald continues.

    The Parker SRX is an excellent razor. I like the stainless steel as it looks quite sleek. The end result of the shave was as good as it can get. Now I am ready for fun in the 84 degree sunshine today.

    Have a great day gentlemen.
