Sadly, I found that there was m,uch more Tobacco than Leather in that soap from Maggard. I hope that was just me.

I get more tobacco too, but the leather is there for me. I enjoy it a lot.

Excellent product line at a higher price point, but a little goes a long way, and I would say the cost per shave is well worth it as this was my 38th shave with the BR, and I have 85-90% of the 200G container left.

    Shaving Recipe for today.

Prep: Warm shower:/Cien Men Energize Shower Gel.

    Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face & head.
    Wrights Coal Tar bar Soap.
    Brush: Wilkinson Sword Synthetic.
    Bowl Lather.
    Bowl: Ikea Kalas Side Bowl.
Lather: Pears Transparent bar Soap + Wilkinson Sword Soap Bowl.
    Blade: Wilkinson Sword Classic. (D1)
    Razor: Wilkinson Sword Premium TTO.

    Post:
Cold water face & head wash with brush squeezing's,/Cold Water Face & Head Rinse./Alum Rub./Homemade (~Autumn/Winter mix~) peppermint lavender, eucalyptus, + Tea Tree essential Oils Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel/Alum Rub./Brut Original ASL./Bulldog Original Moisturiser.

    (Face & Head Shave)

A new eclectic shave set up to start the Weekend. Everything in my shave set up worked together superbly this morning. Both the Wilkinson Sword TTO & matching blade performed wonderfully.
The WS premium TTO razor I find more efficient to the King C Gillette, that said, I find the King C Gillette razor more comfortable to use especially for head shaving.

Another close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Bulldog Original Moisturiser. A wonderful post shave application for the winter elements.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

Still alternting Stirling with the Wool Fat in the 30 DC Feb focus
    Running total so far...

    MWF 0 + 0 + 1 +0.5 + 1 +1 + 0.5 + 1
    Sterling 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1

Omega EVO synthetic, face lathering, Gillette Slim @4 then 6 to finish up with, Personna (4), Imperial Leather
Score = 9.9 / 10 superb start to the Saturday

Used a bit more RO to bloom the fat than before. Let it stand while I did the face prep
Hot water prep. T&H No 10 as preshave. Rinsed off
Quickly dipped the brush in reverse osmosis water, shook and squeezed dry
The Fat had a small layer or lanolin or whatever on top. Left it there and loaded up 100 swirls from the puck, wet the face and lathered away. Only needed to dip the brush once more to get this nice and slick. It seems better to only use the knot of the brush to massage the beard for a short while and then just use the tips for the final painting. Turned out to be really good lather. The brush ‘works’ or ‘feels’ very different with the MWF than the boars, at least more so than I have noticed with other soaps

The blade needed more strokes per area to get it nice and clean: binned. 4 days isn’t bad for me with one blade

I may have gone 100 swirls with some very hard to lather soaps, but never intentionally. I've never tried MWF. I think I saw someplace a few weeks ago that they were closing or have closed shop. Four days for a blade isn't bad for me either. Lots of times two or three days. Occasionally five, six or more. Thank you for your post.

Just shaved. It's easier to reach 100 swirls than I was thinking it was.

    Saturday morning’s Grand Freeze:

    Quick shower
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Super Speed/Wilkinson day 11
    Stirling Glacial Wintergreen SS
    Stirling Glacial Wintergreen ASB
    Stirling Glacial Wintergreen WH
    Calvin Klein Obsession EdT

Damn, did this Glacial Wintergreen trio ever do a number on me - my face is so friggin frozen that it feels almost numb. The scent is delightful, it filled the bathroom while I was lathering up and shaving, the menthol sensation was killer cold, and the postshave feeling was wonderful. The matching balm and witch hazel were such a great finish. Finally the Obsession fragrance and that’s it that’s all. Another brilliant three pass BBS shave that was lots of fun!

Enjoy your weekend - be well and stay safe![IMG]

    Merkur 37c Slant
    Gillette Silver Blue Blade

The b-pure Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #18 Silvertip Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Merkur 37c Slant razor and the Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Aqua Velva 5 in 1 ASB. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...

This John Clarke & Son bit me hard some years ago and I rarely used it afterwards, to the point that I had forgotten about. Lovely shave today, though :happy088:
