    Super shave on a rare chilly morning I. The Southern Den. Three passes to super smoothness. The Mets Nectsr is a nice scent. The scent profile is as follows: “ A complex blend of Orange Blossom, Honey, and Vanilla; manly and mystical. Other supporting notes include: Palmarosa, Gurjum Balsam, Patchouli, Bergamot & Cedarwood.”

    This morning we are heading north to Braedenton to meet my sister and brother-in-law for breakfast/brunch. I will be sporting a pair of jeans instead of the customary shorts for my time at the Southern Den. Still be than what Joe, @Trigger, is experiencing on LI. :bounce015:
    Hope you all have a great day.

    It is sorta like riding a bike, although this morning’s shave was anything but as enjoyable and relaxing as I’d like. SWMBO in the absence of her grandchildren has decided that yours truly required the same kind of close supervision they receive when visiting. Since my discharge from rehab, my left wing isn’t quite as adept as my right necessitating a change in my straight technique. And by the way, I had practiced, minus the blade in my Tedalus, using only my right hand to straight shave the mug. The doc, of course, had informed me that my straight-shaving days were over. I smiled and nodded, but after 78 rotations around the sun, I’ll be damned if I let some wet-behind-the-ears kid tell me of what I’m capable. In any case, despite the bride’s concerns that I’d shear off an ear, all went well with only a very minor red spot on my left jawline. All in all it felt good to get back into the swing of things.

    RAZOR: Tedalus (Mug), Durham Enders Speed Shaver (Dome)
    BLADE: Feather Super (Mug) Schick Proline B-20 Injector (Dome)
    PREP: Cold water rinse followed by a heavy scrub with Argan Oil
    BRUSH: Simpson Chubby 3 Sovereign Fibre
    SOAP: Mitchell’s Wool Fat
    POSTSHAVE: Cold water wash with brush squeezings followed by a rinse with Humphreys WH. Finished with Pre de Provence Bergamot and Thyme.

    Let me say you have my serious/silliness of TSD reporting down to a T, buddyyyyy(haaaaaah, long lung breath). Actually, I just said that so you don't have to "let me", (chuk yuk yuk). As I've been saying here of late(or trying to), my computer has a mind of its own these days. Dunno what's going on.

    Awesome shave Jeff. Glad you're able to shave with a straight once again. I'm believing that one day you will be able to use both hands to straight shave.

    (Face & Head Shave)

    Greetings,

    A new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend. The Erasmic Soap Bowl & Wilkinson Sword Synthetic both gave an admirably lathering performance this morning providing me with slick protective lather in a short space of time. Leaving a wonderful post shave feel.

    A close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report. The King C. Gillette I find is a great razor for head/dome shaves.

    Finishing the shave off a with a few small dollops of Nivea Men Creme.

    My face & precious swede are feeling smooth & smelling divine.;)

    Keep safe, and enjoy your day ladies & gentlemen.:cool:

    Thanks Joe, temperamental indeed

    Great 3 passer Joe

    Thanks Jeff. I have yet to acquire the "taste" but I am trying hard, despite using the old formula. The lanolin kind of floats to the top of the puck, not sure if that's good or bad

    Yes Barry, I did think my previous attempt with a synthetic brush was better but the consistency factor is not there. Tabac, on the other hand I have no problem with and love the scent.

    Classic clog free shave.
    thanks Gary

    Maca magid!

    Kind words, thanks Joe

    Nice simple and error free shave Barry

    Soap = Stirling Bergamot and Lavender
    Brush = Omega 10049
    Bowl = white plastic
    Razor = Gillette Red Tip
    Blade = Vintage Henckels (5) felt quite aggressive in the O
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayer’s rose petal, Nivea Balm
    ASL = Imperial Leather
    Scent = Prada Ocean Luna Rossa
    Score = 9 + / 10
    Damage: none

    Super simple Stirling shave
    The Henckels was getting a bit draggy on Day 5 so was duly relegated to the bin

    MWF 0 + 0 + 1 +0.5 + 1 +1 + 0.5 + 1 + 1 = 6
    Sterling 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 +1 = 9
