    Same setup: repeat shave
    Usual Prep and Preshave = Hot water prep, T&H No 10
    Soap = MWF
    Brush = Pura Setola, soaking in luke warm water around 10 minutes
    Blade = Vintage Henckels (3)
    Score = 9.5 /10
    Damage: minor weeper left lower chin, stiptick needed, careless

    MWF 0 + 0 + 1 +0.5 + 1 +1 + 0.5 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 8
    Sterling 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 +1 + 1 + 1 = 11

    Satisfying end to Feb, having somewhat acquainted myself with the MWF
    It’s been a good mini focus with the Red Tip and the Henckels blade

    Might this be an M to be included in March? Maybe Mitchell’s?

    Forgto to add that today I used normal tap water instead of my more usual reverse osmosis filter water, and it still worked fine. Too early to tell but maybe that's another variable that bites the dust

    Is that a new custom wood handle on that vintage Wade & Butcher razor? I have never seen anything quite like it. Definitely an attention grabber!

    Actually, Jeff, I think it's really nice to know that your son, Ben, also has enough of an interest in vintage wetshaving to want and value some of your straight razors. Imagine how heartbreaking it would be to know instead that he viewed your prized collection of very fine steel razors simply as " scrap metal in waiting" to be thrown into the recycling bin ASAP....

    Beautiful razor, Joe. Love the wood scales. But I actually think it's the handle on that brush that's really special! There are some true artists making some of the shave gear now.

    Thanks for the kind words, Chris! I sometimes find that trying the exact opposite when something isn't working for me can break the impasse. Glad to know it sort of worked for you.

    Even when - in theory - it shouldn't work at all. "Less soap builds more lather" sounds idiotic when you really think about it, but that's The Fat all over...

    Anotyer winner from Proraso Foam. I did struggle a bit getting it out, though. Clean and clear all over. No "issues of the negatory persuasion"(ahhh, I'll stick with "no damage" :). Super Duper Outstanding. Back to shave soaps for a week or so.

    "If you have patience & persistence in something, then success is bound to come, no mistake in that." I can't recall who quoted this, but it's true, especially with triple milled shaving soaps.:D
