    Bowl = face lathering
    Razor = Gillette No 66
    Blade = Vintage Henckels (1)

    ASL = Imperial Leather

    MWF was lathered straight over the Pre Shave, leading to some thickness easily sorted out with some water

    I waited three days to have my first shave for this momth because I wanted to dedicate this shave to my mom. She would've been 95 today. Unfortunately, she never got to see me with a shaved head or get into wetshaving. In any event, this one is for you mom.

    I have to say that this razor/combo is excellent. I used it on my last dual shave 5.5 days ago and I am still impressed. Three passes on my face and two plus touchups on my dome gave me an error-free BBS result. Surprisingly, there wasn't any alum feedback anywhere. Splashed on the matching aftershave to finish this session. Take care.

    Happy Birthday to your mother, Joe. Great shave to dedicate to her memory. My mom saw me with a shaved head several years before she died and seemed quite amused by it. Mothers love us no matter.

    March Madness

    Razor - Soviet "Ideal" (9)
    Blade - astra-superior-platinum.jpg (3)
    Soap - Stirling Port au Prince
    Brush - Wolf Whiskers Badger

    Final shave with the Ideal today. At least for now. I'll move on to another of my Soviets, maybe even the newest in the collection. I don't think I've showed that one off yet. Anyway, everything was great with the Astra blade, and the mutton tallow Stirling soap is fantastic. My wife loves the scent of the Vetiver and Lemongrass. She's also a fan of the Glastonbury I used yesterday. Always good to keep the boss happy.

    Two passes to a great finish. Smooth and very little irritation, just the way it should be. The Soviet razors tend to be a bit picky on how you handle them. The engineering isn't quite as precise as those of us who use vintage Gilletes are used to, but it's fun to give them a turn every now and then. Have a great Tuesday! Spring thunderstorms here today.
