    (Face & Head Shave)

    Greetings,

    A new eclectic shave set up to start the weekend... Last weekend I had a wonderful shave using the HWF Lanolin shaving soap, this week Starting off with MWF. I absolutely love this shaving soap once I've mentioned in many of my posts once I stopped trying to figured out how to get the best from it.... "Being on a over zealous quest to achieve perfection from any shaving soap or any shaving item as a matter of fact is pointless IMHO".. I have realised you just loaded it up with a damp brush, add water to the tips of the brush in between each pass and hey presto it creates an acceptable slick lather. Some shaving soaps and creams, work better than others, but all create an acceptable lather with a little patience & effort.

    What is important is a shaving soap provides slickness glide, protection and a good post shave feel, MWF does all this and more from it's lanolin goodness.

    I like the mild lavender/spicy scent of MWF which isn't an "overpowering in your face scent" like some other shaving soaps have. On a personal note a shaving soap fragrance isn't that important to me as once I've rinsed my face with water the fragrance has virtually disappeared...

    Another close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report.

    Finishing to the shave off with a few small squirts of Rapport original EdT spray to the pulse points.

    My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.;)

    Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.:cool:

    07 March 2025 No shave day

    Saturday 08 March 2025

    Mitchell’s Mash up

    2 Days growth

    Hot Water Prep and Preshave = Palmolive Lather shave regular
    Cream/Soap = MWF
    Brush = Razorock 400 synthetic
    Bowl = face
    Razor = Gillette Tuckaway New Improved 1922
    Blade = Dorco Prime Platinum (1 and binned)
    Passes = 2 +
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayer’s rose petal, L’Occitane CAP Cedrat after shave cream gel
    ASL = Imperial Leather
    Scent = Bulgari Man Wood Essence
    Score = 9.8 / 10
    Damage = none

    Once again I lathered the MWF straight over the top of the preshave, some added water provided a super slick lather with no tendency to dry out

    Due care was needed with the OC tuckaway because this blade is not the sharpest: more strokes needed to clear each area. No damage done even ATG around the mouth area

    The Dorco Prime Platinum was binned: I felt it did not deserve another outing

    Super relaxing start to another Saturday for a wonderful smooooth shave

    Have a lovely Saturday one and all

    Fine shave Neal

    Very nice simple error free shave Joe.

    Thanks Joe

    MWF in March if you like
    Thanks Gary

    That's more than a decent looking set Gary

    Thanks Joe

    Not too shabby at all, which will you use for 1500?

    Great post as usual Neal

    Superb

    Lol! I will take the hint! great set up Danny

    More MWF magic. Great to see you lads have no trouble with the fat. I agree, it needs topping up with water between passes, but for some reason I also find that if I use the Fat on its own I need to top up the fat as well

    Thanks Chris. Using a pre-shave always give me good results, with the addition of dipping the tips of the brush with water in-between each pass. What ever works for you, then stick with it.

    Saturday Evening 8/03/25

    Razor : TGS Syntesi SS DE (Italy)
    Blade : Wizamet super iridium. (2)
    Brush : Yaqi caramel cat's whiskers synthetic.
    Soap : Master Soap Creation's Tabacchi (tallow base).
    Bahm : Lucky Tiger Bay Rum.
    Razor weight : 100 grams.
    Hi all,
    A lovely shave this evening with the Goodfellas' smile Syntesi SS I picked this one up with the help of a
    P&C member.
    The Syntesi gives a good smooth and importantly close shave but with a amazing mild feel for an efficient razor like this.
    (This shave was on a 4 day growth as I was on nightshift .)
    So the Syntesi wasn't taking on a 1 day quick clean up.
    The razor itself felt very familiar in my hand as it is very similar is size to the Gillette super speed flare tip.
    One pass WTG/ATG Done.
    "Smooth as silk"

    Enjoy your shave.
    Cheers

    This week-end back to the Foam, with:

    Prep-Dove Cre + 4 Men Bodywash(Exfoliating)
    Lather-Gillette FoamyRegular
    razor-Gillette Sensor Deuce Pivot DisposeABLE
    A.S. Bricktown Grooming(Valley Forge)from The Razor Emporium

    Thjs is a classic aftershave for a future Throwback Thursday as George Washington is presented with his Battle at Valley Forge. Nice mixture of scents,with Bourbon being the leader. Washington's place in our history goes back" a few years", may I say(oh, I just DID say). But for the shave itself-I prepped well, giving the Gillete a few stromg shakes, and dunking it undeer the warm tap water Did me well. No "incidents of negativity". One pass. As Outstanding As it Gets.

    Greetings,

    A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

    The was smoothly efficient of which I could have easily just done just the one pass + pick ups, but I carried on with another pass + pick ups for the sheer pleasure of the shave & to use up the wonderful super-lather which the Erasmic shave cream & La Barbiera Classic shaving soap created.

    Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Cien Cocoa Butter Body Lotion.

    1 Days growth

    Hot Water Prep and Preshave = Proraso Wood and Spice
    Cream/Soap = Captain Fawcett Scapicchio
    Brush = Semogue Owners Club Cherry
    Bowl = white
    Razor = Gillette Aristocrat ~1947
    Blade = Permasharp
    Passes = 2+
    Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayer’s rose petal, L’Occitane Cedrat
    ASL = Imperial Leather
    Scent = Bulgari Man Wood Essence
    Score = 9.8 / 10
    Damage = none

    Not a bad lather from the Scapicchio and not a bad shave from the Aristocrat. It doesn’t feel as “solid” as my Rockets and No 66 or No 15, with a bit more blade noise. Nice shaver though

    Hope your Sundays turn out well

    Stay well everyone
