Today I had a hankering for some Tabac

    1958 Gillette No 66 with a day 2 Permasharp

Semogue Pegasus C7 finest badger 2 band

Tabac in the tub, followed up with AS balm and ASL. Delightful as always

No damage, just another smooth No 66’er

    Have a great day lads

Cerakote is a baked-on enamel finish developed for military firearms. As far as I know, Delta Echo Razors was the only place that used it to coat razors. Gunkote is a similar finish and North Shore Razors in Hawaii uses it to refurbish vintage (or modern) razors. Everybody else does traditional metal plating - nickel, gold or occasionally rhodium.

So no, Cerakoted razors aren't terribly common -- there are the few hundred that Delta Echo did during its years of operation and that is likely about it.

Great shave, finishing up(for now)the Proraso foam and A.S. I forgot to dunk the Proraso in the hot tap water(my mind was still on the nagging sink problem I have, in that it doesn't "sink"at normal speed). Foam dunking is routine for me, but my mind can easily be thrown off. Forgetting to dunk it resulted in a slow unhealthy departure from the can. I didn't like that, but knew it could have been avoided. Clean, clear shave all around. One pass. No "incidents of negativity". Pretty Outstanding.

Nice shave Gary. I think I read somewhere that AOS has the best Sandalwood, ranking right up there with TOBS.
