Nice foam shave this morning. Well shaken and well dunked prior to use. Great job all around. No damage. I was especially pleased with Cactus Nation. Down there(neck)I enjoy rotating the positions/directions of the razor. One pass. Good finish from the A.S.-boy, the Bourbon scent sure comes out with this Valley Forge(Bricktown Grooming). I better not use this in the presence of my sister(a recovering alcoholic). As for the shave-As Outstanding As It Gets.

 

Pete the "Fiasco Man" must be happy with you this week-end(HAAAAH, long lung breath) .

 

I take it you know the history of Lavender-first came out as a man's scent.

Was it supposingly to increase men's masculine arousal, or something of that nature. I do find it masculine,but not harsh or an 'in your face scent'.

Pre:
Cold wet flannel to my face.
Vaseline Healthy Bright Soap Bar with Vitamin B3.
Brush: Omega 48.
Face Lather.
Lather: Derby Shaving Soap Bowl.
Blade: Voskhod Teflon Coated. (D2)
Razor: Yaqi DOC Mellon Razor Head w/Schmidt R10 Handle.

Post:
Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, Cold Water face Rinse./Alum Rub. / Cold Water face Rinse. / Boots Facial Cucumber Toner. /Yelken Lemon Eau de Cologne. /Boots Cucumber Moisturising Lotion.

A relaxing Sunday morning shave.

The Derby soap bowl provides a wonderful dense slick protective lather, which is equal to the shave stick if not better for it's lather density IMHO.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Boots Cucumber Moisturising Lotion.

My face is feeling super smooth & smelling divine.

Hi all,
I had a brilliant Easter shave today with the Above The Tie SSRH. I believe this razor was made prior to the buyout by blacklands razors.
I have used this razor on at least four occasions now every time it gives me a very efficient and close shave
definitely not in the mild shaver category in my opinion.
I found it worked very well when combined with the feather high stainless blade.
The barista and man soap lathered very well with good cushioning and a great on the face feel.
The shave was finished off very nicely with Ogallala bay rum and sweet orange aftershave'
1 pass WTG/ATG Done no touch ups or buffing.

PS Don’t eat too much chocolate it can come back to haunt you the next day.

April 20 Head and Face SOTA

Good afternoon.

Mühle R102
Gillette 7 o'clock Super Platinum DE Blade (5,6)
MrEE LE #10 Cashmere Brush
Tabac SK
Stirling Alum Block
Beard Growth: 4 Days
Dome Turf: 7 days



I decided to go with the Tabac Sk once again. Picked my R102 for my have stubble and jungle ridden dome. Lol! Three passes gave me BBS all around, but got a weep on the back of my neck. It's when I knew this blade was losing its usefulness so it got binned after the shave. Alum feedback was minimal on the dome and none on the face and neck. Splashed on the Pinaud-Clubman Classic aftershave and I was in heaven because the scent got sweeter. I don't know why but I was surprised. It could be the mixing of the Tabac and Pinaud-Clubman scents did it. Take care.
