Outstanding customer service Kamosori shave this morning. Excellent craftsmanship by the artisan from Urkraine. Three passes has left my face super smooth. With practice, I have become accustomed to the nuances of this razor.

I decided to go with the Lakewood Soap Company’s Smokeberry. Unfortunately, due to retirement, the artisan, Linda Morris, is no longer producing this high quality soap. Fortunately, I am blessed to have three tubs plus three test samples of her soaps. I know that Danny, @Hembree, enjoyed the Smokeberry as well.

....and the reason I don't see ut is I had the wrong name-should be Southwestern Sun.

 

I should ask MY local barbershop what they have available. I thinlk they just order stuff from catalogs, that's how I got introduced to Stephan products. Maybe the same catalog has Conk items.

 

I pulled a switch for my shave on this" Way of Wednesday". As it turned out, I'm glad for my choice.

Why was I glad for my choice. Because I think I can use this Sherlock in the summer . Yes, it has Tobacco and Leather, but also Earth and Pepper(the latter two cools things down some). Fine shave overall-no "issues of negativity". 2 passes. Chiseled Face was the brand it appeared everyone was using when I first signed on here. The "Israeli Ambassador to TSD" led the charge, especially with his numerous uses of the real cold one. (He had a different name back then-course I did, too). Then he went on to Stoylin, as did I. Anyway, back to my shave-the CF aftershave really brought on the coolness. It isn't as "cool" as Aqua Velva, but as we know I've struggled with that AV pour spout. I like the CF pour spout better(Sherlock).. As Outstanding As It Gets.

Another fine DG/CL collaboration shave this morning. The slick lather provided the perfect cushion for the straight to do its job. Three passes to super smoothness.

Today = 1 Days growth

Hot Water Prep and Preshave = Palmolive shave cream
Cream/Soap = Stirling Bergamot and Lavender
Brush = Omega boar 10049
Bowl = white bowl
Razor = Gillette Rocket HD
Blade = Wilkinson Sword, white cardboard box, made in China if I remember correclty
Passes = 2 +
Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayer’s rose petal, L’Occitane ASB
ASL = Fine Latigo
Scent = Santal Spirit Sandalwood

This blade is mild, smooth but not as sharp as I would like. On both 2 days’ and 1 day’s growth it took way more strokes to get a clean shave than should be necessary. In keeping with my April focus each blade gets binned after one use

Still working on sinking the Bergamot and Lavender. I suspect that this will have to wait until May

Lather: Ingram Shave Cream.
Blade: Voskhod Teflon Coated. (D2)
Razor: Yaqi DOC Mellon Razor Head w/Schmidt R10 Handle.

Post:
Cold Water Face Rinse./Cold water face wash with brush squeezing's, /Alum Rub./Cold Water Rinse./Homemade (~Spring/Summer mix~) Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Essential Oils.5 Menthol Crystals Mixed Together With Care+Witch Hazel./Alcolado glacial mentholated splash lotion./Aloe Vera Gel.

A great cooling performance from the Ingram Shave Cream.

Recently I've enjoyed revisiting shaving assortments in my den that I haven't really gave much attention to in the past due to me reaching for my trusty favourites.

A close comfortable 2 pass + pick ups silky smooth shave with no errors to report.

Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of L'0REAL Soothing Birch Sap PSB.

My face is feeling smooth, & smelling divine.
