Thank you Chris... Unfortunately The Nivea Men shave stick is no longer in production, which is a shame as it's a great product. They are on offer on eBay at an extortionate price . The Turkish cologne is nothing elaborate to be honest, apart from I find it another great post shave application. They are a few things that I would get if I came to Oz, for a visit. The "Imperial Leather" ASL would be the first thing on my buying list, something you can't find here anymore. You can probably can get from eBay UK at another extortionate price, but I refuse to be fleeced by greedy horrible illegitimates.

    Fair enough

I finished my Imperial Leather, not sure if it is the same you might have experienced, but I won't need to buy that again
Affordable but nothing special not very long lasting either, but overall good value

No I haven't tried the any Imperial Leather ASL, we have the bar soap talc & shower gel which are an classic old-time favourite of mine. I'm curious, to know if the matching ASL has the same scent, Which is " fresh, clean & soapy" to my nose.

Right. I will keep my eyes peeled and see if I can find those others in the supermarket aisles
Will let you know if I do!

Thanks Barry. It does provide a shave that is comparable to a straight razor.

Nice foamy shave from Proraso this morning. I'll need to dunk the can a little more next time, especially since it hasn't been used for about a year. I did shake well. This "Refreshing" persuasion will definitely be added to my :I Can't Be Without This" list, as will the matching A.S. And I have the "Refreshing" tub, too(for wet shaving. Clean, clear shave all around. No "incidents of negativity". One pass. Will repeat tomorrow. I think I recall asking myself when I got this "Refreshing" one, "Will this be my next Rise"? Probably not, because you can't buy Rise Menthol anymore. But it could be just as good. As Outstanding As It Gets (for the shave itself).

I was trying to come up with other "retro/classic" shave products. Rise Super Foam would be one. Good ol' Rise, but some changes in it to make it not quite the same.

I've often thought out of curiosity if it's comparable to a straight razor, after reading your post I can now confirm my curiosity was correct.
