30 April 2025 Last day of the month

2 Days growth

Hot Water Prep and Preshave = Palmolive shave cream
Cream/Soap = Stirling Bergamot and Lavender
Brush = Omega boar 10049
Bowl = white bowl
Razor = Gillette Rocket HD
Blade = Gillette 7 O’clock Yellow sharp edge SS (1)
Passes = 2 and a few minor touch ups
Post = Usual CWR, Alum, rinse, pat dry, Thayer’s rose petal, L’Occitane ASB
ASL = Fine Latigo
Scent = Santal Spirit Sandalwood
Damage = small weeper in the lower right neck at the end of Pass 1. Taken care of with the Alum and cold water

Another super smooth shave with the Rocket HD
I did feel the 7 O’clock was dulling a bit towards the end of the shave
As per April’s plan this was binned after one use

My best blades for the month were:

Kai
W Iridium Super Extra Stainless
Euromax
King C Gillette
Parker Premium Platinum
Henckel’s

Less good blades
Willy’s
Wilkinson Sword made in England
Wilkinson Sword made in China

So: no bad or terrible blades, just personal preference

It's a late post because I met with Joe C @JACarbone for breakfast and followed with a gym session. Of course, I didn't want to look grubby meeting a fellow wetshaver. Lol!
For the final shave, I went with the Fatboy
Three passes gave me a hassle-free comfortable shave. The Barbus was slick, although I made a thin lather. I had some alum feedback, but it wasn't too serious. Splashed on the wonderful barbershop scent of Pinaud-Clubman and was good to go. Take care.
