Honeysuckle vines grew on one end of the front porch where I grew up. I miss the scent.

This is an amazing scent. It’s still very strong and has stayed on target! I had bees following me earlier

The Arko Stick Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #18 Silvertip Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the Gillette Single Ring Razor (1911) and the Gillette Silver Blue Blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. Wow, this soap and aftershave have the most beautiful bay rum scent I’ve ever experienced. The soap’s tallow formula promotes absolutely MAGNIFICENT lather that’s so thick, rich, cushiony, mega slick and protective, it’s chock full of menthol, and it’s so skin friendly. The Prep’s scent goes so well with anything bay rum scented not to mention how cooling and soothing it is. The Frosty Bay Rum aftershave has the same gorgeous scent as the soap, and it’s another menthol atom bomb. Three passes knocked off my tough stubble and left me as smooth as a baby’s little keister - what a brilliant and enjoyable shave this was!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend - be well and stay safe![IMG]

    (Face & Head Shave)

A new eclectic shave set up to start the Weekend..

A new shave set up to start the weekend....Everything in my shave set up this morning worked together excellently.

Over the last few months I've really enjoyed using mild razors, and realised now that you don't need an aggressive razor to get what I consider a close comfortable shave. The WSC is another great example that mild razors work affectively as aggressive ones.

I've had the WSC for 8-9 years now and it's still showing no sign of wear & tear, I really like the build of the razor, the Delrin plastic is very hard wearing granted, it does struggle to get close in certain areas "under the nose" but I find if you use short shaving strokes and rinse more regular than I would with my other razors due to it's small blade gap the shaving results have always been acceptable. It's strengths are it's weight & balance, which makes it very nimble to shave with and the handle has a superb grip, the blade sits tightly with minimal blade chatter once the top cap is screwed into the handle stock.

I actually have a spare of both razors which where gifted to me in my collection unused for emergencies.

My personal opinion is that out of the two I find WS Premium TTO feels slightly more aggressive of the two, it's build and aggression reminds me of my 1960's Gillette Slim Twist TTO & Chinese Gillette super speed clones, both are inexpensive effective razors that will always have a place in my rotation.

My skin & medium beard type get on with most blades I find the German WS classics Solingen-Edge well are sharp with very good longevity.

I find the Indian GWS blade very Similar to the Voshkod TC, which are not the sharpest of blades but very smooth & effective and have worked well with all my razors, but with short longevity, which isn't a issue for me as the cost of them is very inexpensive, beside that I have enough DE blades to last me two life times & longer.

All in all, once you've gained technique & shaving confidence I've found after a while all DE blades feel pretty much the same to each another, OK they are a few exceptions and the longevity & quality is better. As always opinions are very subjective, especially with DE blades. YMMV.

Maiden outing with the WS classic shaving soap which was a Christmas present from my sibling along with a tub of the new sensitive grey tub of which I will add to my shave set ups throughout the month.

The black tub lathered up better to the my older blue tub version, that said, this could because it's a new tub and the ingredients are fresher. what I will say is that both the black & grey tubs have different scents to the blue citrus scent version. The black tub has a cologne scent, as the grey sensitive tub has a mild Aloe Vera scent.

The Supply V2 razor paired together with a fresh Personna PTFE SS felt super smooth efficient cutting through head stubble with effortless ease. The weight of it is considerably heavier compared to my Parker InjRzr & my vintage Schick injectors.

The weight of the Supply V2 alone does all the work and the design of the Supply V2 is wonderful and like the vintage Schick injectors is solidly built to hold the blade firm & rigid in the razor head with no movement making the shaving experience feel safe comfortable, and smooth with no blade chatter and very easy to adjust to finding the right shaving angle. However, it's not quite as easy to manoeuvre to my Parker InjRzr & vintage Schick Injectors due to lightness of them, but it's been a while since I last gave the Supply V2 a proper run out, so I won't "cast judgement" in haste.

During my May focus I will familiarise myself to the Supply V2 and adjust to it's extra weight compared to my other injector razors. I also find the (aggressive) (***) dot plate ideal for 5-7 days beard/head stubble growth, but the (classic)(**) dot plate has just the right efficiency balance for 1-3 days beard/head stubble growth.

Another close comfortable face & head shave with no errors to report. Finishing the shave off with a few small dollops of Aloe Vera Gel.

My face & precious swede are feeling smooth and smelling divine.;)

Stay safe, and enjoy the start of the weekend ladies & gentlemen.

WOW.. 1st shave with the Paradigm Copper Diamondback, and it is scarily smooth, to the point where it actually feels bladeless, and extremely efficient.. To say that I'm an extremely happy chappie is an understatement.. An outstanding shave.

Shaving.. to be enjoyed, not endured.

    Guten Morgen Gemeinde!

    (Good morning community)

    Meine Samstagsrasur:

    (My Saturday shave:)

Tabac bath soap for my shower
    Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole
    Junjie/Bic day 8
    Tabac Shaving Stick
    Lubriderm Moisturizer
    Tabac AS Splash
    Tabac Cologne

This Tabac stuff is so wonderful - the bath soap is loaded with moisturizing and it has that beautiful old school scent that I love so much. The stick provided totally magnificent lather that was thick, rich, slick and protective as well as a soothing, comfortable postshave feeling. The Lubriderm moisturizer gave me lots of additional care. Finally the Tabac aftershave and cologne were such a lovely finishing combination. Three passes gave me a brilliant BBS shave that was fit for a king!

Enjoy your shaves and your weekend - be well and stay safe![IMG]
