Hello everyone. I am just checking in. The first third of this year has been rough. My mom broke her ankle which has required a lot of effort on my part to get the therapy needed to transition her back to assisted living. In the end, she seems to have given up on walking with a walker in favor of using a wheelchair full-time. I am not too happy about that but in the end it her choice.

On the shaving front, I am down to shaving 3 times a week at best. I am still working on the Fine Italian Citrus shave soap.

I hope everyone is doing well. I will check back in as time allows.

Round two fo the Tabula Rosa and I like the scent and performance but.... the tub got bigger but it was only about half filled. I am not sure if I go short changed or this a strange way to deal with 'shrinkfaltion.'

Now I have to admit, I am very jealous of certain tenor's ability to source unobtainium vintage juice. Given shipping restrictions I did not think it was possible but finally!! Arriving from France is vintage Brut. So I bought a bottle of the modern to compare it too.... and well there is no comparision the vintage Brut is amazing well the newest version is just OK. Paired with Tabac, oh baby I am so ready to go to Piggly Wiggly but alas there are none in Korea. I will search out and find the equivalent.

AoS Lemon Shaving Cream~~dubl duck #2~~Gem Clog-Pruf~~Terre d'Hermès Eau Très Fraîche
The Williams is history. It was a great run.
Some variety for a while, starting with the classic AoS Lemon Cream.
The stank du jour is an excellent flanker of the OG Terre d'Hermès.

    Outstanding summer scent.

First shave of the month was a winner.

Don't often reach for the Ranger Tech, but when I do, it never fails.
    Fresh Wizamet direct from Poland.
    Repeated yesterday's stank.

I like both my Stoylin Agarwood clones. My preference is OUD SIGMA, but I rotate that with AGAR. Did I oo a typo and say Stoyin by mistake? Oops. Anyway, I'd say SIGMA OUD is AGAR on steroids. Doc Ezlovan
did a nice job on both, making sure the Oud scent came out, but again I'd say his Sigma Oud is "just a little...bit better"*

*My quote is taken from a section of the Herman's Hermits classic(nice to know Peter Noone is still alive and kicking).

Your Clubman Special Reserve turned GREEN(like mine has), but I think we already discussed this frustrating persuasion.

I didn't turn green, Paul. Your bottle, which btw, I piffed to you, is an older formulation. I am sorry you are frustrated with it.

Catch up time, the new 3017 target is Steam Punk, I think this was LE soap and sadly impossible to replace. Kicked of the first shave with a 7/8 damaskus Portland Razor Co staight razor. This was my first custom razor. The brush was made by our own @jtspartan with an Omega Pro boar knot. CD Leather Oud, a long lasting fine stank.

    p - 2.jpeg

Round 2 featured a 7/8 Dorko which I bought NOS, I think it is from the 1950s, a flashy razor with gold engraving and butterscotch scales. Another brush from @jtspartan and the stank du jour was Musc Ravageur. Round 3 a Joris razor loaded with a Iradium Super steel, Omega Pro boar brush and stand by Dior, Fahrenheit.
    p - 1.jpeg

Sunday shave was a variety shave, I am enjoying the Zingari Man Amir, this one will get but away when the weather gets to warm. The steel for this shave is Raserpur, a modern German razor, not sure if they are still in biz or not but this is a fine razor. The brush is from Whipped dog with a ceramic handle. I found this stank hidden in the pack of my stank cabinet, now I know how to overcome my lack of popularity at Piggly Wiggly. I just needed some Sex Appeal. I wonder what the vintage juice smell like?

Great shaves, my friend. That Leather Oud would last me until 2050. If you put your mind to it, you could knock it out before the end of the year. :happy036:
