well..let's see if I can catch up. I couldn't list my shaves for a couple days: Throwback Thursday to Saturday(today): prep-Suave 4 Men Bodywash(in shower) lather-IKE(Strike Gold Shave) brush: Thursday(Omega BOAR-silver handle) Friday-BOAR(Green handle, vanilla knot) Today(Stoylin li'l brudder) razor-Gillette Sensor Deuce Pivot DisposeABLE A.S.-IKE(Strike Gold Shave) Thursday was also my "Birthday Shave"). As for the Throwback persuasion-I don't have the exact year of the featured scent in Ike("Eight And Bob"), but JFK and a friend discovered it while touring in Europe in the 1930's.Frank, the owner, had the wrong President in mind when producing it, as Eisenhower had nothing to do with that scent. Great Shaves Thursday and Fri....not so this morning, as a cut developed at the right side of South Porcupine, but that was the only problem. Therefore, for m Throwback/Birthday shave and Friday, it was As Outstanding As It Gets, whereas for today, it was Pretty Outstanding. Let's have some great May shaves, fellas!!

My first go at it with Alpha’s “The Guido” and my first use of BBS Soap Co.’s soaps and splashes! And my first use of my latest Uomo brush! The Guido was a razor I’ve waited not so patiently for. And just my luck I received it the day after my first shave with my, new to me, Tatara Masamune Nodachi and wanting to give it a few shaves to judge the Nodachi The Guido had to do a little waiting. Well it definitely stormed out the gates, you know had to get that in today IS the Kentucky Derby, with a Russian rider in the saddle. Voskhod blades are always super smooth and seem to really slice through my stubble. I went with the SB for today. The brass slides nicely along the face with each stroke. The razor feels very secure in my hand. The knurling on the handle is superb as I like a nice good grip. It was surprisingly efficient for the amount of what I perceived as blade feel. Was a really amazing shave with another absolute banger from Alpha Shaving Works! BBS Soap Co. is an Artisan out of Greece. I’ve seen there soaps on Etsy but had not ever pulled the trigger. When they became available at The Razor Company and Pasteur’s I decided to give them a shot. I am not regretting my choice. Today I went with the Devilfruit set. Devilfruit is inspired by Xerjoff Erba Gold. Scent profile: Top Notes : Brazilian Orange, Sicilian Lemon, Calabrian Bergamot, Ginger Middle Notes : Green Apple, Melon, Pear, Guatemalan Cardamom, Cinnamon, Cloves Base Notes: White Amber, Musk, Madagascar Vanilla, Woody Notes What a scent! It’s a bouquet of fruit and spice with a warm vanilla dry down! Wow! As I speak it’s maturing with the fruit and spice coming back for a wonderful harmonious mix of bright, sweet, soft, and warm. Quite the contrasting match! An almond size scoop of soap and a few sprays of water and rich thick lather exploded in the bowl. I had more than enough for 3 passes! The splash goes on nice and soothing and really has left me with a softness that is quite fitting this beautiful day! I will be excited to try my next set by BBS soon! All in all another wonderful shave! It shouldn’t be possible to feel so good for only removing hair but here we are! Happy Saturday! Enjoy the Derby! Lather Catcher Sunday's Cold Water Shave Cold Water Rinse Arko Stick Shave Soap Jayaruh #18 Silvertip Badger 1907 Gem Jr. Lather Catcher Personna GEM SS PTFE Humphrey's Witch Hazel Pinaud Vegetal The Arko Stick Shave Soap lathered well with Jayaruh #18 Silvertip Badger Brush. Two passes and touch ups with the 1907 Gem Jr. Lather Catcher razor and the Personna GEM SS PTFE blade gave me a close, comfortable shave. After a cold water rinse I finished off with Humphrey's Witch Hazel and Pinaud Vegetal AS. I am clean, smooth, and refreshed...
Sunday morning’s Menthol Madness: Hot shower Yaqi 30mm Barber Pole Junjie/Bic day 9 Stirling Glacial Citron SS Diana Menthol Balm Stirling Glacial Citron AS Splash This Glacial Citron scent is some else - lemon, lime, grapefruit, and a bit of tangerine come together to make it so beautiful and refreshing. The soap generated unbelievably thick, rich, super slick lather, the menthol sensation froze me to smithereens, but my skin felt so great. The Diana balm from Austria is unscented, and packs a whopping good menthol feeling, and the Glacial Citron aftershave took the freeze to another level - its lovely scent has very good staying power.
